Poster-making is more than just art — it’s a creative way to share the joy of reading and inspire others to open a book. Every stroke, every color, and every design tells a story that encourages curiosity, imagination, and lifelong learning. Let each poster speak volumes about why reading matters — because every reader is a leader, and every book is a new adventure waiting to unfold.

In line with that, the Virgilians join in turning ideas into visuals that spark a love for reading across our community! The poster-making contest was held last November 25, 2025. It was a successful friendly competition that drew out the talents and skills among our beloved learners.

Let the colors elucidate the importance of reading in building bridges of understanding, empathy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning!

Today, we accept the Araw ng Pagbasa Challenge, as our students in Engr. Virgilio V. Dionisio Memorial High School read altogether with one goal - to explore and experience the magic of reading as it bridges the gaps of understanding and enjoyment with different literary pieces since reading connects minds and hearts.

As part of the National Reading Month Celebration, Virgilians were tasked to craft a Haiku for English subject and a Tanaga for Filipino. Our beloved teachers let the learners' creativity bloom — because reading inspires writing and writing sparks imagination.

The activity was held last November 20-21, 2025.

December 5 is about to be an enchanted day! ✨
Our school will transform into a living storybook as students step onto campus dressed as their favorite fairytale characters for Dress-A-Character: Fairytale edition 👑🧚‍♀️📚

Expect magical looks, iconic outfits, and creative interpretations that will bring classic tales to life. From princes and princesses to mythical beings and mischievous creatures, every corner of the school will sparkle with imagination and color!

Get ready for a day filled with fantasy, creativity, and pure fairytale magic! 🌟📖

We are turning pages and sparking imaginations as we kick off National Reading Month! Grab your favorite book and join the celebration — because every story is a new world waiting to be explored!

In collaboration of the English and the Filipino Department, the National Reading Month has officially started in Engr. Virgilio V. Dionisio Memorial High School with a celebration of stories, imagination, and the joy of reading following the theme BRIDGES OF UNDERSTANDING: READING FOR EMPATHY, CRITICAL THINKING, AND LIFELONG LEARNING!

We are proud to introduce our Reading Ambassadress, Mrs. Queenrio A. Cruz, as she passionately advocates and inspires everyone to turn the page and discover new worlds through books. Her mission? To champion literacy, encourage a love for reading, and remind us that every book opens doors to endless possibilities.
