🇯🇵 Learning Japanese Through Movement!

This week, our SPFL 7 learners practiced numbers in Japanese—and brought those numbers to life through Radio Taiso (ラジオ体操)! 🎵🧘‍♀️

Radio Taiso is a traditional Japanese morning exercise routine that promotes physical fitness, discipline, coordination, and an active lifestyle. For our learners, it also became a fun way to practice counting in Japanese while moving together. 🔢

Through simple movements and Japanese counting, our learners experienced that learning a language goes beyond the classroom—it can be active, meaningful, and connected to culture.

いち、に、さん！Ichi, ni, san, shi! Let’s keep learning, moving, and enjoying Nihongo! 💪📚🇯🇵

It’s Matcha Thursday! 🍃🇯🇵

Who said learning Nihongo is all about memorizing vocabulary? Our SPFL 8 learners enjoyed a hands-on Matcha Making Activity, giving them an opportunity to experience a part of Japanese culture beyond the classroom.

Through preparing and tasting matcha, our learners explored Japanese traditions while making fun and meaningful memories together.

Hiragana Calligraphy Showcase! 🇯🇵🖌️

Today, our Grade 7 Nihongojins proudly showcased their hiragana calligraphy skills using ink and brushes. ✨

With patience, focus, and creativity, our young learners put their hiragana writing skills into practice while experiencing a beautiful aspect of Japanese culture through the art of Japanese calligraphy (書道・Shodō). 🌸🖋️

It was a wonderful opportunity for our learners to develop their writing skills, confidence, and appreciation of Japanese culture—all through art!

すばらしいです！よくできました！👏🎉
