​Last July 3, 2026, our students attended an essential orientation on R.A. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act) and R.A. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act). This session ensured they are well-equipped with the knowledge of their rights and responsibilities before deploying to the field.

A huge thank you to Atty. Elgieraydolph Buison for leading this vital discussion. We truly appreciate your time in helping our students learn how to foster a safer, more respectful environment as they head out to their field placements. 🤝✨

On June 11, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program in partnership with Junior Social Workers' Association of the Philippines and Students Organization of College of Arts and Sciences at Western Philippines University-Puerto Princesa Campus held a Recognition Ceremony for its graduating class.

The event was attended by the outgoing Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Asst. Professor Francis A. Alterado; the Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Community Development, Dr. Ronald T. Magbanua; Program Chairperson Ms. Michell L. Simyunn; and our dedicated social work faculty. Most importantly, we were joined by our graduates and their proud parents.

A highlight of the ceremony was a powerful message from alumna Ms. Judy Ann De Los Reyes. Her story was more than just an inspiration; it was a call to action for our future social workers to lead and serve with genuine values and professional integrity.

Likewise, Mr. Ronnie Cua, Cum Laude, delivered a message of gratitude on behalf of the graduating class. Similarly, Mr. Albert Tucay, the parents' representative, also expressed his gratitude and recognition of the sacrifices made by the parents, guardians, students, and faculty.

Muli, pagbati, BSSW-WPU-PPC Class of 2026! We are beyond proud of you! As you turn your dreams into reality, we hope you remain grounded and serve with dignity, integrity, and a heart that values honesty, equality and social justice! ✊
