THERE IS NO PLACE FOR HARASSMENT AND VIOLENCE IN OUR UNIVERSITY.

The University Student Government expresses its deep dismay and outrage over the recent reports of harassment and misconduct during the final night of Burungitan 2026. We strongly condemn these actions in the highest degree. These acts are not merely a display of disrespect; they are a direct violation of human dignity and a breach of Republic Act No. 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act. Our university must remain a safe, secure, and respectful environment for every student, and we will never tolerate any form of harassment, intimidation, or violence within or outside our campus.

To our fellow students who have experienced or witnessed these incidents, please know that you do not have to suffer in silence. The USG stands firmly with you, ready to provide the help and support you need. You can report any incidents directly by sending a message to the official University Student Government page or reaching out directly to the personal Facebook accounts of our USG officers so we can take immediate action and escalate your cases to the proper authorities.

The newest 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 and 𝗪𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 officially took their first steps around the university grounds through the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 introducing them to the spaces and facilities that will become part of their college journey.

Amidst the rain, they’ve wandered across campus, gained familiarity with essential points, and shared their first experiences as Bearcats. What began as unfamiliar halls and pathways may soon become the backdrop of frienships, harships, and everthing in between.

The orientation was further enriched by a special performance from Sining Palawan, bringing the richness of Palawan’s culture and artistry to life. As the Freshies continued their campus tour, our dedicated officers and volunteers were there to guide, assist, and welcome them every step of the way.

To everyone who gave their time and energy to make this experience meaningful, thank you for being part of their very first steps into the university.

Keep your essentials secure and come prepared for an energetic day filled with chants, cheers, and a little bit of chaos.
