ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

To: All Library Patrons and University Community
Subject: Security Advisory: Increased Vigilance and Personal Belongings
The University Library administration, in coordination with University Security Services, is taking immediate action to address recent reported incidents of personal item theft within library facilities.
To ensure the long-term safety of our community, library management is currently expediting administrative requests for additional security equipment and enhanced facility measures. While these upgrades are underwayโalongside increased security patrols and updated baggage counter protocolsโwe strongly urge all patrons to exercise heightened personal vigilance:
Keep Valuables on You: Never leave items such as wallets, phones, laptops, or identification unattended, even when stepping away from your seat briefly.
Keep Belongings Close: Ensure your bags remain closed and positioned nearby while using reading rooms and study areas.
Follow Baggage Counter Protocols: Safely hold onto your assigned claim tag whenever utilizing the baggage counter at the entrance.
Report Suspicious Behavior: Immediately notify library staff or security personnel on duty if you observe unusual activity or missing items.
Your active cooperation plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure study environment for everyone at Palawan State University.
