𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒘, 𝑴𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚!🧡🩷

The journey begins. With the theme “𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩: 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐒𝐔𝐚𝐧𝐬,” 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 formally welcomed its first-year students through the 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝟏𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Freshmen from all colleges, including the proud Tourism students of CHTM, marched in their college colors — carrying banners of identity and pride as their first step toward university life.

Days later, On 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 the rite concludes with the final and most symbolic tradition: the Burungitan. On the last day of Burungitan, freshmen receive the mark of paint on their faces and are showered with water — a ritual that officially welcomes them as true Bearcats of PalawanSU. It signifies unity, transformation, and belonging to one PSU community.

To our CHTM Tourism Freshmen: your first parade and your final pupungitan mark the beginning of your path in hospitality, service, and leadership. May this tradition ground you in Palawan’s culture and inspire you to represent it to the world.

Collaborative progress was front and center on July 31, 2026, as the 𝓢𝓽𝓾𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓣𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓶 𝓢𝓸𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓽𝔂 (𝓢𝓣𝓢) actively participated in the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, alongside the 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 (𝐇𝐌𝐒), 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐊𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐚 (𝐂𝐊), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐇𝐓𝐌 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐇𝐓𝐌-𝐒𝐆), under the leadership of College Dean, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. The dialogue provided a valuable platform for strategic alignment, inter-organizational coordination, and shared leadership, reinforcing our collective commitment to a unified and student-centric academic community.

Following the coordination meeting, the 𝓢𝓽𝓾𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓣𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓶 𝓢𝓸𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓽𝔂 also held its 𝑬𝒏𝒅-𝒐𝒇-𝒕𝒉𝒆-𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈, where officers gathered to review our accomplishments, address pending tasks, and discuss upcoming plans and initiatives for the organization. 📋✨

From reflecting on what we’ve accomplished to planning what’s next, STS continues to move forward with purpose, teamwork, and commitment to serving our Tourism Management students. 🌏
