Submission Guidelines:

Papers must not have been published, submitted for publication, presented at another conference, or submitted for presentation at another conference.

Panels must have panel abstracts as well as an abstract for each paper in the panel.

This question will be explored at the 12th Knowledge-sharing Forum of the Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), in collaboration with the Bukidnon State University (BukSU) and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) on March 11, 2026 (Wednesday), 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bukidnon State University and via Zoom.

With the theme “Indigenous Peoples and Nation Building: Lessons in Leadership, Sustainability, and Peace,” this forum brings together research and lived experiences to highlight how Indigenous knowledge systems contribute to environmental conservation, effective governance, and inclusive development.

Structure
Scholars globally will gather to present papers and to engage in progressive discussion on global Linguistic Sociocultural Anthropology, Language and Society, and Sociolinguistics, (and related fields). While the central theme of the conference is AI, Anthropological Intelligence, the conference also invites a focus on broader domains, that is, classical Linguistic Sociocultural Anthropology, Sociolinguistics, Linguistics, and Anthropology. The GLOCAL 2026 will bring together linguistic and sociocultural anthropologists, and scholars and experts of technology, social planning, philosophy, sociology, cultural studies, critical theorists, as well as governments, industry forerunners, and beyond, to deliberate on the tensions between artificial and anthropological intelligence in communication, to determine solutions that ramify throughout human societies globally.

The GLOCAL as a fully non-profit academic unit sits a the centre of Universities globally, in its global consortium of 21 universities, and in its global network of 4,500 university affiliates. The GLOCAL assists scholars in impeded economic contexts who display strong scholarly potential.

The (SCOPUS / WoS / ISI) GLOCAL Conference on Linguistic SocioCultural Anthropology 2026, AI, Anthropological Intelligence, is timely. At the core of the discursive linkages between the human and technology is the anthropological question of how language and the social and cultural psychologies of these technologies overlap, that is, how shall the human subject now communicatively position themself in relation to these technologies. While foregrounding its central theme AI, Anthropological Intelligence, the GLOCAL 2026 also centrally invites papers, colloquia, posters, workshops. roundtables, and talks on all facets of Linguistic SocioCultural Anthropology and Sociolinguistics.
