𝙻𝙾𝙾𝙺: 𝚂𝙿𝙷𝙸𝙽𝚇 𝙲𝙾𝚄𝙶𝙷𝚃 𝙸𝙽 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙳𝙸𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽𝙰𝙻 𝚁𝙰𝙸𝙽 𝙾𝙵 𝚆𝙴𝙻𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙴

The Palawan State University Open Field came alive as freshmen from different colleges gathered for the much-anticipated Burutudan, filling the night with energy and of water in August 20, 2026

The assembly began with a processional walk with our very own Sphinxs marching the front, they all stood at field, giving it color with their face paints that side bore the University's colors and the other with each colleges' respective colors.

Despite the rain and mud, it did not dampen the mood of the freshmen Sphinxs or the Senior Sphinxs to cheer for our team during the yell competition.

The evening fun ended with the traditional 'baptizing' of freshmen, marking them as official Bearcats of the University.

From the Freshmen Walk and now the Burutudan, our freshmen have officially taken their first steps as UAPSa-PalSUans

The College of Architecture and Design (CAD) proudly welcomed its newest members as the Burungitan Rites 2026 officially commenced on August 17 through the Freshmen Walk and Opening Program.

With pride in their college and excitement for the journey ahead, CAD freshies stepped into the university grounds, carrying with them dreams of becoming future architects and designers. Each step marked the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with late nights, creative challenges, discoveries, and opportunities to grow.

More than simply welcoming a new batch, Day 1 celebrated the beginning of their journey as CAD students and PalSUans.

To our Sphinx Freshies, welcome to the college where ideas take shape, creativity knows no bounds, and every line can become the beginning of something extraordinary.

The College of Architecture and Design is proud to announce that all recognized student organization offices have been inspected and found 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲’𝘀 𝗧𝘄𝗼-𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗔𝗗 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻'𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲; Office Order No. 08, series of 2026. 🎉

The inspection was conducted by Dean Bulan, together with Program Chairperson Morales , and CAD-CSG Adviser Garobo last August 20,2026, to assess the offices based on the prescribed standards for organization, professionalism, functionality, and visual identity.

We are happy to see our student organizations responding positively and taking ownership of their spaces to serve the majority of their constituents and the wider stakeholders. This milestone reflects not only cleaner and more organized offices, but also a stronger culture of professionalism, accountability, and pride in our College pushing for a more functional and aestetically-relevant spaces. 🤎🏛️

This program also aims to strengthen the network with our alumni and the industry partners.

All organization offices were assessed based on the following minimum standards:

☑️ 1. Sintra-board organization logo prominently displayed on the wall
☑️ 2. Three-dimensional (text-cut) organization name installed within the office
☑️ 3. Clean, organized, and properly labeled filing system for documents and records
☑️ 4. Removal of unnecessary, damaged, or unrelated furniture, equipment, and objects to maximize workspace
☑️ 5. Artificial or live indoor plants to improve the office environment and reduce toxicity and stress
☑️ 6. Properly designed office door label/nameplate identifying the organization
☑️ 7. Framed PSU Vision, Mission, and Core Values displayed in a visible location
☑️ 8. Framed Organizational Vision and Mission of the respective student organization
☑️ 9. Framed Organizational Structure/Organizational Chart showing the current officers and advisers
☑️ 10. Leaders' Gallery wall presenting all the former leaders of the organizations

Dean Bulan, together with Program Chairperson Basuan-Morales and CSG Adviser Garobo, showed their full support and encouragement to our freshmen as they stepped onto the field for the Chant Competition, the exciting closing act of the Burungitan Rites 2026! 📣🔥

More than the competition, it was a moment of unity, confidence, and school spirit—reminding our freshmen that they are never alone in this journey.

Calm outside, 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 — literally the definition of “okay lang ‘yan” habang mentally fighting for her life. 😭

She may look chill and unbothered, but behind that calm face is a whole system running at 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗦 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡, 𝟯 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚, and somehow… everything still gets done. 💀
