Sharing kindness, creating meaningful moments. โค๏ธ

The SHS ABM/SPORTS Group, together with the Young Business Mind Club (YBMC) of ABM/BE Students, conducted a meaningful Community Outreach Program for the morning and afternoon learners of Sta. Monica Day Care Center on September 22, 2026.

The activity included the distribution of slippers and school supplies, along with a feeding program, bringing smiles and joy to our young learners.

Photos were taken and posted with parental consent.

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Learning Japanese Through Movement!

This week, our SPFL 7 learners practiced numbers in Japaneseโ€”and brought those numbers to life through Radio Taiso (ใƒฉใ‚ธใ‚ชไฝ“ๆ“)! ๐ŸŽต๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

Radio Taiso is a traditional Japanese morning exercise routine that promotes physical fitness, discipline, coordination, and an active lifestyle. For our learners, it also became a fun way to practice counting in Japanese while moving together. ๐Ÿ”ข

Through simple movements and Japanese counting, our learners experienced that learning a language goes beyond the classroomโ€”it can be active, meaningful, and connected to culture.

SMNHS spearheads National Simultaneous Safety Drill

Santa Monica National High School (SMNHS) led the conduct of the National Simultaneous Safety Drill across the MIMAROPA region on September 3, reinforcing the institutionโ€™s commitment to strengthening emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

Overseeing the activity were MIMAROPA Regional Director Sir Ronnie S. Mallari, PhD, CESO III, and Puerto Princesa Schools Division Superintendent Maโ€™am Laida M. Lagarโ€‘Mascareรฑas, CESO VI, who formally opened the program and presided over the drillโ€™s implementation together with the regional directors of various partner agencies.

Their presence highlighted the eventโ€™s importance, demonstrated strong leadership and interโ€‘agency collaboration, and underscored that disaster preparedness is a shared priority across all levels.

The activity aimed to build a safer school community by orienting students, faculty, and staff on proper protocols during emergencies and ensuring swift, coordinated action when crises arise.

Partner agencies including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), and Philippine National Police (PNP) joined the event.

Each agency demonstrated standard response procedures, shared safety best practices, and guided participants through practical emergency scenarios.

As students, we may have friends who quietly struggle with problems at home, school, or even with how they see themselves. Sometimes, they may feel like they are a burden, that their feelings do not matter, or that they do not belong anywhere. But their struggles do not make them a burden, and their worth is never measured by the problems they are facing. We may not always know what someone is going through, which is why a simple โ€œAre you okay?โ€, a listening ear, or a reminder that someone is there for them can mean a lot.

โ€ŽThis ๐’๐ฎ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก, let us remember that no one has to face their problems alone. It is okay to reach out for support, talk to someone you trust, and share what you feel.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWe can all show our support by listening, understanding, and being there for them when they need someone to talk to. We don't need to have all the answers. But, being present and able to help someone reach a trusted adult or a professional is already a meaningful step.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIf you feel like you donโ€™t belong, remember that you donโ€™t have to force yourself to fit into a place where you donโ€™t feel accepted. There is always a place where you are be accepted, understood, and valued. Your story is still being written, and there are people who want to walk with you through the difficult chapters.
