In God's time. In God's way.

Kapit lang kapatid.

“A fight is going on inside me," said an old man to his son. "It is a terrible fight between two wolves. One wolf is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other wolf is good. he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you."

The son thought about it for a minute and then asked, "Which wolf will win?"

The old man replied simply, "The one you feed.”

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you. ”

"Whoever would preserve his life will lose it but whoever loses his life for my sake & the gospel's will preserve it." -Mark 8:35

Reflection: Jesus commands us to lose our lives for His sake & the gospel's. Losing our lives includes: denying our very selves, taking up Jesus' cross, following in Jesus' steps & not being ashamed of Jesus & His teachings. Doing these things results in losing our lives bec these things seem absurd & even threatening to the worldly.

Are u willing to lose ur life for Jesus?
Lord, make me happy when insulted, persecuted & slandered for Your sake, for my reward will be great in heaven.

Let me be aware of Your life giving Word that nourishes me daily. Amen 🙏🏻Good am!
