“𝑵𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈.” — 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒌 🤲💙

We never become truly poor by giving, because the 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 we bring into other people’s lives are worth far more than what we give away. 🌱✨

There is more to giving than what leaves our hands. When we 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, we give people something meaningful while gaining experiences and lessons that stay with us, too. 🫶💛

This is what 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣-𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦 reminds us of: we all have something valuable to contribute, regardless of what we have or what we can afford. Through serving our communities, we discover that 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼, and that the good we share can reach far beyond what we may ever see. 🇵🇭💙🧡

“𝑾𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆.”
— 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒍

𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 goes beyond what we receive; it is about what we willingly share with others. 🌱💛 Even the simplest act of kindness—𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻—can bring hope and make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. 🫶📦

Through 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣-𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦, we are reminded that helping our community doesn’t always require grand gestures, but a willing heart, a spirit of generosity, and the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 what we can to those who need it. 🇵🇭💙🧡

Let us continue to make a life that matters by choosing to serve, share, and uplift one another, because the true measure of what we give is the kindness, hope, and care we share with others. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬! 🌻🤲✨

The Palawan State University – National Service Training Program Office conducted a Capability Building Program on Community Needs Assessment for NSTP Trainers on today, October 8, at the University Hostel.

At the start of the program, University President Dr. Venzon L. Limpiada shared a message emphasizing that people value a gift when it is something they truly need or want; otherwise, they may simply set it aside. Relating this insight to community engagement, he underscored the importance of understanding actual community needs before designing programs and projects, ensuring that the assistance and services provided are relevant, useful, and meaningful to the intended beneficiaries.

The program focused on strengthening trainers’ capacity to understand and assess community needs as a foundation for developing relevant, responsive, and meaningful NSTP programs and community initiatives.

Sessions covered key areas including the alignment of NSTP initiatives with University Extension Services, developing projects from expertise to community impact, and the proper collection, analysis, and interpretation of community data.

The activity served as a preparatory initiative for Project CASAMA, equipping NSTP trainers with the knowledge and skills needed to identify community priorities and guide the development of responsive project plans.

𝗣𝗔𝗛𝗟𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗡 | 𝙋𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙞𝙣𝙜 🌿⛰️

This National Indigenous Peoples Month, we remember Petra Macliing not only for the struggles she stood in, but for the principle behind them: that Indigenous communities have the right to protect their identity, culture, ancestral lands, and way of life. Her story reminds us that development cannot be separated from the people and communities whose lives are directly affected by it.

To serve is not to speak over communities, but to listen to them, learn from their knowledge, and stand with their right to determine their own future. May Mother Petra’s legacy remind us that protecting human dignity also means protecting the cultures and lands that give communities a sense of belonging.
