Puerto Princesa City National Science High School underwent the Monitoring and Validation of School Safety, Security, and Preparedness Measures conducted today, August 4, 2026.

This activity, pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 456, s. 2026 and Regional Memorandum No. 78, s. 2026, was spearheaded by the Education Support Services Division (ESSD) in coordination with the SGOD - Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (DRRMU).

The monitoring aimed to:
✅ Validate the implementation of school safety, security, preparedness, and child protection measures.
✅ Assess compliance with existing DepEd policies and standards.
✅ Identify implementation gaps and receive technical assistance to continuously strengthen our safe and resilient learning environment.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, this highly competitive program connects accomplished U.S. TESOL professionals with educators worldwide to advance English language instruction and cross-cultural diplomacy. Over the course of the project, Sir Migs collaborated with international specialists on advanced instructional frameworks, peer teacher training, and global cultural exchanges.

As a science high school, we recognize that clear, sophisticated communication is vital for scientific advancement. The international insights Sir Migs brings back from this program will directly enrich our language curriculum, further preparing our students to present their research and innovations to a global audience.

Gate Entrance & Bag Inspection Procedure

1. Form a Single File Line (Separate lines for Boys and Girls)

Approach Phase. Approach the entrance and join the queue in a single file line. Keep the pedestrian pathway clear and avoid crowding or cutting ahead to maintain an orderly flow.

2. Prepare Your ID and Bag

Pre-Inspection. While waiting for your turn, have your school identification ready. Unzip or unbuckle your bag’s main compartments ahead of time so the security personnel can view the contents immediately.

3. Present ID and Open Bag

Inspection Phase. Step forward to the inspection table when it is your turn. Present your ID and hold your bag open wide. If you have multiple compartments or loose items, assist the personnel by shifting them so the bottom of the bag is visible.

4. Declare Restricted Items

Transparency. Explicitly inform the personnel if you are carrying regulated items (such as sharp tools for specific projects, electronics that require logging, or specialized equipment) before they begin the physical check.

5. Secure Possessions and Step Aside

Post-Inspection. Once cleared, zip up your bag and step completely away from the inspection area to clear the path for the next person in line.

Mas magiging maayos, ligtas, at angkop para sa pagkatuto ang kapaligiran ng mga mag-aaral ng Puerto Princesa City National Science High School (PPCNSHS) matapos pormal na pasinayaan at i-turn over ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Puerto Princesa ang bagong dalawang palapag na gusal para sa nasabing institusyon.

Pinangunahan ni City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron ngayong araw ang turnover ceremony kasama ang mga opisyal ng lungsod at mga kinatawan ng sektor ng edukasyon bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng pamahalaang lungsod na mapalakas ang mga pasilidad pang-edukasyon at matugunan ang lumalaking pangangailangan ng mga mag-aaral sa lungsod.

Malaki ang magiging ambag ng bagong gusali sa pagpapabuti ng learning environment sa PPCNSHS, partikular para sa mga mag-aaral ng Grade 7. Sa pagkakaroon ng mas maluwag, komportable, at modernong mga silid-aralan, inaasahang higit na mapapahusay ang kanilang pagkatuto at akademikong pagganap, lalo na sa larangan ng agham, teknolohiya, at pananaliksik.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Mayor Bayron ang kahalagahan ng agarang paggamit ng mga proyektong nakalaan para sa edukasyon upang agad na mapakinabangan ng mga mag-aaral at makatulong sa kanilang pag-unlad.

Samantala, nagpahayag naman ng pasasalamat ang mga kinatawan ng Department of Education at pamunuan ng paaralan sa patuloy na suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan sa mga programang pang-edukasyon at sa pagpapaunlad ng mga pasilidad na nagsisilbing pundasyon ng dekalidad na pagkatuto.

Higit pa sa isang bagong gusali, ang proyekto ay isang mahalagang pamumuhunan para sa kinabukasan ng mga kabataang Puerto Princesan. Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagpapaunlad ng mga imprastraktura sa edukasyon, mas nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga mag-aaral na matuto sa isang kapaligirang ligtas, maayos, at nakatutugon sa kanilang mga pangangailangan.

Patunay ang proyektong ito ng patuloy na pangako ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Puerto Princesa na gawing prayoridad ang edukasyon at maglaan ng mga pasilidad na makatutulong sa paghubog ng susunod na henerasyon na magmamana ng progresibong Puerto Princesa.
