QUEZON, PALAWAN – The "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives 2026" blood donation drive was successfully held at 1:30 PM at the Palawan State University - Quezon Campus Gymnasium.
The activity was led by the Philippine Red Cross in partnership with PSU - Quezon Campus administration and health officials of Quezon, Palawan. Students and faculty actively participated and showed their commitment to helping save lives.
Before donating, all volunteers underwent weight and health screening. The Philippine Red Cross reminded participants that a minimum weight of 50 kilos is required to ensure donor safety.
As a token of appreciation, donors received a t-shirt, donor card, bottled water, and free lugaw after donating. The donor card can also be used by donors or their family members in case they need blood in the future.
According to Philippine Red Cross representatives, the goal of the drive is to increase the local blood supply and promote awareness among the youth about the importance of voluntary blood donation.
The PSU - Quezon community was commended for their generosity. As the Philippine Red Cross emphasized, “every drop of blood donated gives hope and saves lives."
