𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍, 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐫, 𝐏𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟎𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — Pagturian Mangyan School proudly joined schools across the country in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony on July 6, 2026, commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award.

Following the regular Monday flag ceremony, pupils and teachers participated in the nationwide observance in support of the Department of Education's initiative. The activity highlighted the importance of national unity, patriotism, respect for national sovereignty, and the peaceful resolution of disputes through international law.

Despite its remote location, Pagturian Mangyan School stood united with thousands of schools across the nation, reaffirming its commitment to developing informed, responsible, and patriotic learners who will contribute to nation-building.

Led by Lav Travels, the primary organizer of the outreach initiative, this event was made feasible through the generous contributions of the United Architects of the Philippines UAP Mindoro Chapter and G-Beats Radio. Their collaborative mission not only provided essential supplies but also instilled hope and joy among the Mangyan learners and their families.

Even though it was a Sunday, parents and teachers gathered at the school with enthusiasm to participate in the event, showcasing their steadfast dedication to the welfare and education of every child. Their involvement illustrated the strength of a community bonded by a shared goal—to enhance lives through kindness and service.

The beneficiaries received food packages, clothing, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and educational materials, all of which will aid the learners both at home and in their studies. The simple yet significant gifts were met with appreciative smiles, serving as a reminder that generosity possesses the ability to inspire and transform lives.

The outreach program transcended mere distribution of donations. It evolved into a celebration of unity, volunteerism, and collective responsibility. Pagturian Mangyan School warmly welcomed Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Ma’am Nelia M. Castillo during her monitoring and supervisory visit to the school. As part of her role in ensuring the effective implementation of educational programs and promoting quality learning environments, PSDS Ma’am Nelia observed school operations, provided technical guidance to teachers, and checked the school’s readiness in delivering quality education to our learners.

During her visit, she also joined the conduct of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating the importance of disaster preparedness and emergency response in schools. Her active participation highlighted DepEd’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety, resilience, and preparedness among learners, teachers, and stakeholders.

The activity served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen awareness and readiness in the event of emergencies, while also emphasizing the shared responsibility of creating a safe and secure learning environment for all.
