Women's Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the countless contributions of women to society, history, and culture. It is a time to acknowledge the challenges that women have faced and continue to face, while also celebrating their accomplishments and resilience.

Throughout history, women have made groundbreaking contributions in every field, from science and medicine to literature, politics, and the arts. They have fought tirelessly for equal rights, representation, and opportunities, paving the way for future generations of women to succeed and thrive.

This Women's Month, let's celebrate the diverse, complex, and powerful women in our lives and around the world. Let's honor their achievements, acknowledge their struggles, and commit to building a more equitable and inclusive society where all women can thrive.

Specifically, we celebrate Ms. Alma Bonita Banaag, Ms. Sheryl Luna, and Ms. Susan Banaag--three outstanding women who rose above the challenges of life despite their disabilities. Loss of hearing and sight have never hindered these women to fulfill there roles as mothers and pillars for their family and community.

This celebration is made possible by the generous donation of fellow women. We in Baclayan are grateful to ms. Rebeca Gracilla, Ms. Ehna Amor, Ms. Lorektzy Sandoval, Ms. Jeneth San Jose, and Ms. Mylene Tadena. We're also grateful for the presence of our Brgy. Kaptain, Hon. Aurea C. Banaag and our PTA representative, Ms. Dinalyn Banaag.

Your kindness will forever live on through the lives of the people you touched today.

We'll be starting our student workshops next week and we can't wait to share our meticulously crafted student workbooks with our students in Baclayan Mangyan School.
Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek of the front and back cover of our workbook.

Children exposed to unsafe environments and those who develop poor self-esteem tend to disregard their own needs and wants. In creating safe spaces, we dream of a future where every child can confidently claim what's theirs and take ownership of their own development.

"Naay Tuwa" is an Iraya Mangyan word that translates to "Akin Ito", symbolizing our students' ownership of their own future.
We appreciate any help that you can offer so that we can increase the reach of this advocacy
