𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐏𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Philippine Normal University Mindanao ROTC Unit (PNUMROTCU) successfully conducted its 11th and 12th Battalion Formation, featuring continued military instruction, practical field training, and preparations for the upcoming Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE).

The morning session focused on the rehearsal for the Ceremonial Parade, where cadets undergone repeated formations, movements, and coordinated executions to enhance their precision, synchronization, discipline, and military bearing in preparation for the upcoming ceremony.

From 1000H to 1200H, cadets proceeded with the military subject Drills and Ceremonies, discussed by Pvt Leonard Delatina PA (Res). The session further strengthened the cadets’ understanding and application of proper military drill procedures, commands, movements, and formations.

At 1300H, training resumed with practical exercises in Drills and Ceremonies and field training, alongside preparations for the upcoming Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE). The activities continued until 1700H, providing cadets with further opportunities to apply for their training while preparing for the upcoming event.

The 11th and 12th Battalion Formation was facilitated by the 𝐏𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, with the guidance and supervision of the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐂𝐎, ensuring the orderly, disciplined, and effective conduct of the activity.

Through continuous training, practical application, and commitment to excellence, the PNUMROTCU cadets continue to strengthen the discipline, competence, and leadership essential in becoming responsible and capable future officers.

Held on 𝟏𝟓 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the 𝟏𝟓𝟎𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐃𝐂, the activity highlighted the collaborative efforts of the 𝟏𝟓𝟎𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐃𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐍𝐔𝐌 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔 in promoting community involvement, volunteerism, and humanitarian service.

The blood donation drive was conducted in connection with the 𝟒𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐌, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲, bringing together members of the regular and reserve forces, as well as participating cadets and volunteers, in support of a common cause.

Through their participation, PNUMROTCU cadets demonstrated that the values learned through military training extend beyond discipline and leadership they are also reflected in the willingness to 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞, 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 to the welfare of others.

The Philippine Normal University–Mindanao ROTC Unit proudly took part in the celebration of the university’s 58th Founding Anniversary held on August 14, 2026, under the theme, “Pagpalig-on sa Multikultural ug Inobatibong Edukasyon: Nagkahiusang Paglawig Padulong sa Masaganang Ika-60 nga Anibersaryo.”

As part of the event’s security and support operations, PNUMROTCU Officers were deployed as standby medics, ready to provide immediate assistance and basic first-aid response whenever needed throughout the celebration. Their presence reflected the unit’s commitment to service, preparedness, and the safety and well-being of the university community.

Adding military precision and ceremonial honor to the festivities, the unit’s Marching Colors also participated in the ceremonial activities, carrying the colors with pride and discipline as a symbol of the university community’s unity, honor, and tradition.

Through these responsibilities, the PNUMROTCU continues to embody the values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty-serving not only as cadets in training, but also as dependable members of the PNU Mindanao community.

During the event, ROTC personnel took on different responsibilities, serving as 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 during the activities and providing guidance, coordination, and assistance to participants throughout the program.

For the afternoon session, the ROTC 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 was on standby to provide immediate medical assistance and attend to the health and safety needs of participants and personnel whenever necessary.

The participation of the ROTC Unit encompassed several key responsibilities:

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — Assisting in the readiness of the venue, personnel, and other requirements prior to the commencement of the ceremony.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — Assisting in restoring and maintaining the venue’s cleanliness, order, and proper arrangement before and after the activity.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 — ROTC officers served as the Color Officer, Color Guard, and Color Bearers, representing the Philippine Normal University Mindanao during the ceremony and rendering appropriate honors to the national and institutional colors.

𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 — Supporting the implementation of security protocols to help maintain a safe, organized, and disciplined environment throughout the event.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 — Providing standby medical support and immediate assistance when needed to safeguard the welfare of participants, guests, and personnel.

The Philippine Normal University Mindanao ROTC Unit (PNUM ROTCU) participated in the Caraga Region ROTC Council of Commanders Seminar held on 01 August 2026 at the Headquarters, 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, Camp Romualdo Rubi, Bancasi, Butuan City.

The PNUMROTCU delegation was composed of CDT LTC EGIE T LUNA 1CL ROTC, Corps Commander, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs), Pvt Mery Queen A Caballero PA (Res) and Pvt Angeline T Dalogdog PA (Res). The two GMAs were among the recipients of the Military Commendation Medal in recognition of their exemplary performance, unwavering commitment, and valuable contributions during the successful conduct of the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT).

The seminar convened ROTC Corps Commanders, NSTP/ROTC Coordinators, Graduate Military Assistants, and cadet leaders from across the Caraga Region to strengthen coordination among ROTC units, discuss updates on policies and programs, address operational concerns, and exchange best practices to further enhance the implementation of the ROTC Program. The activity also reinforced inter-unit collaboration and promoted organizational excellence in developing competent, disciplined, and mission-oriented citizen soldiers.

The activity was spearheaded by COL JONATHAN P OBENA INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander of the 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army. The event was further honored by the presence of BGEN BENJAMIN L LEANDER PA, Commander of the 401st Infantry (Unite 'N Fight) Brigade, Philippine Army, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. It also featured an Awarding Ceremony recognizing outstanding personnel, reservists, and individuals whose dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service significantly contributed to the successful conduct of the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT).

Through its active participation in this regional forum, PNUMROTCU reaffirms commitment to strengthening leadership, fostering collaboration, and upholding the core values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty in preparing future leaders and responsible citizen soldiers dedicated to serving the nation.

The Philippine Normal University ROTC Unit (PNUM ROTCU) successfully conducted its 7th and 8th Battalion Formation, where cadets participated in another day of classroom instruction and practical military training aimed at strengthening discipline, leadership, and preparedness in accordance with the ROTC training program.

The formation commenced with the Battalion Organization, which included attendance checking, as well as the recording of merits and demerits, ensuring accountability and the orderly administration of all participating cadets before the day’s training officially began.

During the morning classroom session, AFP Mandate, Mission, Function, and Organization was discussed by Sgt Jully Aubrey G Andura PA (Res), providing cadets with a comprehensive understanding of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ constitutional mandate, organizational structure, core functions, and mission in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and supporting national development. This was followed by Cyber Security Awareness, where cadets learned the importance of protecting personal information, recognizing cyber threats, and practicing responsible digital citizenship in today’s technology-driven environment.

In the afternoon, Basic Life Support (BLS) was discussed by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Prosperidad, represented by Jessie M. Deni-ay, Rogen Pugahan, and Alberto C. Baledio Jr., equipping cadets with essential knowledge and life-saving skills that may be applied during emergency situations. The day’s activities concluded with Drills and Ceremonies, led by the PNUM ROTC Officers, where cadets continued enhancing their military bearing, discipline, precision, and synchronization through basic drill exercises.

The activity was facilitated by the PNUM ROTCU Advance ROTC Officers, under the supervision of the Training Staff, Tactical NCO, and MAJ JOVANE C ROBLE (ARM) PA, Commandant, ensuring the orderly, safe, and successful conduct of the training.
