As part of its commitment to fostering a safe and secure learning environment, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Inc. had a Fire Safety Training and Emergency Drill Session for its school personnel, facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pototan.

The session provided our faculty and staff with valuable knowledge and practical skills in fire prevention, emergency response, and proper evacuation procedures. By investing in continuous safety education and preparedness, the school strengthens its ability to respond effectively to emergencies while promoting a culture of vigilance, responsibility, and care for one another.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Bureau of Fire Protection Pototan for sharing their expertise and helping equip our personnel with life-saving knowledge. Together, we continue to build a safer, more resilient school community.

On July 13, 1932, the first Spanish Hijas de Jesus missionaries Sisters Maria Porta, Asuncion Velasco, Sofia Garcia, Brigida Sagardoy, Maria Rey, and Teresa Garcia arrived in the Philippines. With profound gratitude, we remember their courageous response to God's call as they set foot on the sacred soil of Pototan, bringing the Gospel with evangelical zeal, hope, and the gift of new life. Sent by Sr. Eloisa Andres, these six young Hijas de Jesus departed from Salamanca, Spain, on May 22, 1932, traveling to Barcelona, where they boarded the German ship Trier for their missionary journey to the Philippines.

Today, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Hijas de Jesus, proudly bears the distinction of being the first Hijas de Jesus mission school in the Philippines. As we celebrate this milestone, we give thanks for the generations of F.I. Sisters who have faithfully carried forward the mission, our past and present school administrators, the FI lay collaborators, our benefactors, alumni, parents and guardians, and all the hijos and hijas of Mother Candida. Together, your dedication, generosity, and commitment have shaped the legacy and enduring mission of our beloved institution.

For 94 years, CIC has been a beacon of faith, excellence, and service. This remarkable journey has been made possible through the dedication and support of every member of our community who has shared in our mission. Thank you for journeying with us and for helping build a community rooted in faith, hope, and love.

As one family of Mother Candida, we continue to journey together, living her charism, inspired by her spirituality, and remaining committed to forming hearts that seek God in all things.
