Porac National High School Conducts Orientation on School Contingency Plan on Active Attacks
PORAC, PAMPANGA — August 24, 2026. — Porac National High School (PNHS) conducted an Orientation on the School Contingency Plan on Active Attacks on August 24, 2026, at the PNHS Covered Court, as part of the school’s continuing efforts to strengthen preparedness, safety, and emergency response among its personnel and stakeholders.
The orientation aimed to familiarize teachers, school personnel, and other members of the school community with the appropriate procedures and protocols to follow in the event of an active attack or other serious security threats within the school premises.
The activity emphasized the importance of preparedness, rapid decision-making, effective communication, accountability, and coordinated response during emergency situations. Participants were oriented on their respective roles and responsibilities before, during, and after an incident.
The contingency plan also highlighted the importance of maintaining updated emergency information, identifying safe areas and evacuation routes, establishing communication procedures, and ensuring the proper accounting of learners and personnel during an emergency.
Through the orientation, PNHS personnel were encouraged to remain vigilant and calm while following established safety protocols. The activity also underscored the importance of close coordination among school officials, teachers, learners, parents, responders, and other concerned agencies.
The school administration emphasized that preparedness is a shared responsibility. Regular orientations, drills, and simulation exercises are essential in developing a school community that is more capable of responding appropriately to emergencies.
