Manatiling ligtas sa heat wave!

Sa nararanasang matinding temperatura, ang mga sakit na nauugnay sa matinding init ng panahon ay isang tunay na alalahanin. Maaari itong magdulot ng heat cramp at pagkahapo, na pwedeng mauwi sa heat stroke—kabilang sa mga sintomas ang pagkahimatay, pagkapagod, pagkahilo, sakit ng ulo, at pagsusuka. Ang matagal na pagkabilad ay maaaring humantong sa mga malalang kondisyon tulad ng heat stroke, na nangangailangan ng agarang medikal na atensyon.

Ligtas nating alamin ang mga paraan upang maiwasan ang mga problemang dulot ng matinding init!

ANG AGOSTO AY BUWAN NG ASEAN!

Ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ay kaisa ng buong bansa sa pagdiriwang ng ASEAN Month ngayong buwan ng Agosto na may temang “Bayanihan like ASEAN! Leveraging Education Cooperation to Strengthen ASEAN Identity.”

Mula sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 282, s. 2017, idineklara ang ASEAN Month sa Pilipinas na kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng anibersaryo ng pagkatatag ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) tuwing Agosto 8.

Patuloy ang pakikipagtulungan ng DepEd sa ASEAN upang isakatuparan ang regional development sa edukasyon sa pamamagitan ng ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting (ASED) and the Senior Officials Meeting on Education (SOM – ED).

Sa pangunguna External Partnerships Service (EPS) – International Cooperation Office (ICO), tuon ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ang pagdaraos ng mga forum at talakayan tampok ang mga kilalang personalidad mula sa larangan ng foreign affairs, akademya, youth development, gayundin ang social media campaign na may layuning maipalaganap ang kaalaman patungkol sa ASEAN at ang kahalagahan ng regional cooperation sa youth empowerment at sa edukasyon.

Abangan ang mga update sa mga aktibidad kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng ASEAN Month dito sa DepEd Philippines.

August 3, 2023 — The Department of Education (DepEd) announces that the opening of classes for School Year 2023-2024 in all public schools will be on August 29, 2023.

Private schools may choose to open classes on any date starting “the first Monday of June but not later than the last day of August," pursuant to Republic Act 11480.
