As a new dawn rises, new aspiring leaders gathered to bring pride and honor to the halls of Pontevedra Christian School, Inc. Equipped with flaming passions and strengthened by their experiences, three extraordinary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students answered their callings: Shamen G. Daria as the President of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government, James Ryan B. Barrientos as the Editor-in-Chief of The PCS Tambuli, and Christian B. Villaeba as the President of the Interact Club of PCS.
Hailing from a strand that is entitled to be the most reputated, these three exceptional leaders are on a quest to bring the motto "Basta STEM, Baskog!" into a reality as they made history and were chosen to lead three of the most superior organizations in the campus.

"I was sincerely grateful for being chosen to serve as the SSLG President. I am glad that my fellow students still voted for me even if I didn't have an opponent as I still need those 50% of the students' vote. I was elected to represent the student body so the experience of getting elected at first was extremely weird." Daria expressed in an interview as the first President of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government.
"I am aware of the significance of my job in
helping my fellow students and providing
loyal and trustworthy service to our school's administration, being president is not just about easing it, it's also about being the one who starts to move in that direction, particularly when it comes to teamwork, which is one of the most crucial principles among its members." She added.
Being an SSG Representative for the past 6 years, to be the SSLG President is a new role with new responsibilities to Daria, she believes that her position is not an easy task and that there is always room for improvements but through the challenging periods and unexpected trials and errors, she still envisions a positive and inclusive environment for all students at Pontevedra Christian School, Inc.
"I and my new members in the Supreme Student Student Government believe that every student has an equal chance to succeed and have a bright future. Together, we are here to help PCS become a better one." Daria ended.
Daria is a Grade 12 STEM student, consistent honor student, has a passion for dancing, and is also a member of the PCS Music Team and Medic Club.

"To be the voice of the PCSians takes a lot of courage and bravery as you are putting yourself on the spotlight were you are willing to be judged, backstabbed, and criticized. To lead this publication will not be an easy job, however, this organization will surely be something that I will enjoy in my last year here at PCS as it is aligned with my passions; to write; to draw; and to speak." Words of Barrientos in an interview on being promoted as the chief editor of The PCS Tambuli.
He has been in the school paper ever since he was a freshman, he was a cartoonist in 2018 until 2020 but later stopped due to the pandemic. However, the publication back then was only active in the last quarter of the school year only to produce a tabloid.
"As days go by, technologies are slowly but surely progressing and advancing and through this, the student journalism of Pontevedra Christian School, Inc. truly has a potential of having a bright future ahead". Barrientos on being asked by his visions of his organization. "Although we are more intact on spreading news and stories online, we are still continuing the tradition as me and my team are aiming to produce a newsletter by the end of the school year". He added.
The goal of this student publication is to only spread factual information, showcase the transition of the school into a better one, and exhibit the achievements of PCS.
"On the contrary, one of my personal goals for my pub team is to also shape the next generation of PCSian journos, this is to not only leave a long lasting legacy to my soon to be alma mater but as well as to produce efficient, credible, and transparent campus journalists for the next school year". Barrientos concluded.
Barrientos is a Grade 12 STEM student, consistent honor student, incumbent SSLG Secretary, award winning writer and speaker, has a passion for music, dance, and the arts, pageant king, and a former Vice President of the Supreme Student Government.

"Interact Club is Rotary International's youth/teen club, and the Interact Club of Pontevedra Christian School aspires to be one of the most active clubs/organizations both inside and outside of the school by 2024." Villaeba shared as the first Interact Club President of Pontevedra Christian School, Inc.
I and my team hopes to solve environmental problems while also making a difference in the lives of our fellow students and children in our community.
"In order for the program to be effective, we will collaborate and partner with other clubs/organizations. And that is what we imagine at the moment, but we hope that as time passes, these dreams will be realized and more things will be done to instill hope in the life of every student and member of our community." Villaeba ended.
Aside from being the President of the Interact Club of PCS, Villaeba is a Grade 12 STEM student, consistent honor student, former President of the Supreme Student Government, and is also engaged in volunteering and community service.
These three aspiring individuals now lead the PCSian studentry as beacons of hopeโarmored with perseverance, sharp minds, and flaming passions.
