TO THE TEACHERS WHO BELIEVED IN US. ❤️📚

There are teachers we remember because of the lessons they taught.

But there are teachers we will never forget because they believed in us.

“Believing in Me” by Regine Velasquez, the official PLDT Gabay G**o tribute song for Filipino teachers, beautifully captures this kind of gratitude. The song reminds us that teachers can become our strength, our guides, and sometimes even the people who help us see the person we can become.

Behind every lesson plan, every checked paper, every reminder, every correction, and every word of encouragement is a teacher who chooses to care.

And sometimes, all a student needs is someone who will say:

“I believe you can.”

To all our teachers—thank you for believing in your learners even when they struggle to believe in themselves.

Thank you for teaching.
Thank you for guiding.
Thank you for inspiring.
And most of all, thank you for believing in us. 💙

This video is our simple tribute to the teachers who continue to shape lives, one learner at a time.

Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎📚
You believed in us. Now, we celebrate you.

A TEACHER WHO STAYED

Every teacher has a story.

A story of early mornings, long days, countless lessons, and moments that may seem small—but can leave a lasting mark on a young person’s life.

Today, let us remember that behind every lesson is a heart that chooses to care, believe, and never give up on a learner.

This is the story of one teacher… and one student.

One day, a teacher noticed a student sitting quietly at the back of the classroom. His grades were falling, and he had stopped participating.

After class, the teacher simply asked, “Are you okay?”

The student looked down and said, “Ma’am, I don’t think I’m good enough. Maybe I’m not meant to succeed.”

The teacher smiled and said, “You don’t have to believe in yourself today. I’ll believe in you until you can.”

Weeks passed. The student slowly changed. He began participating, trying harder, and believing that maybe he could.

Years later, that student returned to the school—not as a student, but as a teacher.

He found his former teacher and said, “Ma’am, you probably don’t remember what you told me that day. But I do. You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.”

And sometimes, that is what a teacher does.

A teacher may teach a lesson in a classroom, but a teacher’s heart can change a life.

To all our teachers, thank you for believing, caring, and staying.

Happy Teacher’s Day! ❤️

👑💙 OUR SUPPORT FOR MS. KIMBERLY MAE HOLLERA 💙👑

From the halls of Silway-8 National High School to the stage of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026, we proudly stand behind one of our own—Ms. Kimberly Mae Hollera, a woman whose beauty is matched by her heart for the youth and her commitment to service.

Beyond the crown and the spotlight, Ms. Kim has been a youth advocate, community leader, and champion for young people.

As the Elected Chairperson of the School Governance Council (SGC) of Silway-8 National High School, her leadership has helped bring forward and support resolutions and initiatives that respond to the needs and welfare of our learners. Among these is the establishment of the Teen Center in S8NHS—a safe and supportive space where young people can connect, learn, seek guidance, and be heard.

As the Chairperson of the Committee on Education of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU), she has also extended her support to our learners through financial assistance in the form of cash allowances, helping ease some of the challenges they face in pursuing their education.

Her leadership and support have likewise helped open doors to the Care-A-Teen Movement of her alma mater, strengthening partnerships and creating opportunities for programs that seek to Protect, Nurture, Thrive, and Include our teens.

She also shared her advocacy with our young builders during Young Builders Camp 2026, where she served as one of our resource speakers and talked about “Digital Influence,” reminding young people that what they do, share, and consume online can influence their choices, character, and future.

Now, as she takes another meaningful step by joining Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026, we celebrate not only the woman on the stage, but the woman who has chosen to use her influence in service of the youth.

Silway-8 National High School and the Care-A-Teen Movement proudly support you, Ms. Kim!

May you continue to carry with you the same heart for service, leadership, and youth empowerment wherever this journey takes you.

Go, Ms. QueenSehala Kimberly Mae Hollera! Our youth advocate. Our SGC leader. Our fellow Care-A-Teen champion.
