Silway-8 National High School (S-8NHS) received Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) supplies and equipment during the DRRM Summit at South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, aiming to strengthen emergency preparedness.

The DRRM Summit was held on August 3, 2026, gathering educators, school heads, and DRRM Coordinators across the province of South Cotabato.

Supplies such as rescue hard hats, first-aid bags, emergency vests, and stretchers were some of the DRR equipment that S-8HNS, along with other public schools in the province received.

The initiative showed collaborative commitment to establish a safe, resilient, and disaster-ready learning environment for learners of South Cotabato, DepEd XII SDO South Cotabato emphasized in a facebook post.

Dr. Murdy F. Bautista, School Principal III, and Sir Allan Balanay, School DRRM Coordinator, attended to represent S-8NHS in the said summit.
