After the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that damaged homes in Glan, Sarangani, Polomolok National High Schoolโs (PolNHS) Supreme Secondary Learnerโs Government (SSLG) opened a donation drive โTabang ta, Abag taโ after the Schools Division of South Cotabato initiated a โProject Buliganayโ donation drive in every school to support the affected residents.
Over 100 students and teachers gave donations, PolNHS teachers also extended the help through non-government organizations, churches and individuals, and with the help of Schools Division Superintendent Leonardo M. Balala, the school delivered 200kg of rice and โฑ101,000.00 worth of assorted groceries and cash in Dlama Elementary School in Kapatan, Glan, Sarangani Province this June 16,2026.
SSLG President Andrei Dequila stated that the schoolโs purpose is to convey that in the middle of calamities, everyone's support will remain intact.
โUpang mag bigay tulong sa mga nasalanta ng lindol [at] upang ipa abot [ang mensaheng] sa kabila ng pag yanig, mananatiling nakatindig ang pagtutulongan ng bawat isa[mananaig ang diwa ng pagtutulongan ng bawat isa]โSSLG President Dequila stated their purpose.
According to the SSLG President, suspensions of classes was the biggest challenge in collecting donations, students are not allowed inside the school due to safety purposes.
SDS Balala and his group distributed the donations to parents and learners of Dlama Elementary School, headed bu the school principal, Ricky Catog.
After the distribution in Dlama ES, the group visited several households, especially affected educators and their families.
