A meaningful and inspiring visit unfolded at Balesin Integrated School as Dr. Rommel C. Bautista, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Quezon, together with Dr. Sahlee A. Salgo, Principal III of Binulasan Integrated School, graced the school with their presence during their visit to Balesin Island Club.

Their visit goes beyond a simple gesture of support- it symbolizes a shared commitment to quality education, strong school-community partnership, and the continuous pursuit of excellence for every learner. Their presence brought encouragement and renewed inspiration to the school community, reminding us that meaningful leadership is strengthened through genuine engagement and collaboration.

STRENGTHENING UNDERSTANDING OF DEPED ORDER NO. 015, S. 2026 THROUGH SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC)

Balesin Integrated School successfully conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on August 12, 2026, focused on the Revised Guidelines on Classroom Assessment, Grading System, and Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program, as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026.

The session was attended by the Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel of Balesin Integrated School, with the School Head Teacher I serving as the Resource Speaker. The meaningful discussion provided an avenue to clarify important provisions, address frequently asked questions (FAQs), and strengthen the participants’ understanding of the revised guidelines and their application in the school setting.

Through active participation and open dialogue, the session concluded with a unified understanding and shared commitment to the proper and consistent implementation of DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026—promoting fair, transparent, and meaningful assessment, grading, and recognition practices for all learners.

School-Based Feeding Program Orientation

Balesin Integrated School advocates that, "No child can reach their full potential on an empty stomach". The School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) stands a concrete expression of the school's commitment to ensuring that every learner is nourished, healthy, ready to learn, and given an equal opportunity to succeed.

Through the collective efforts of the school, parents, teachers, stakeholders, and community partners, the BIS successfully conducted the SBFP Orientation headed by Mr. Melmar M. Villanueva, Head Teacher 1. He explained the importance of the program, its identified beneficiaries, the timeline of the program, as well as the role of parents in strengthening a culture of care, compassion, and shared responsibility.

Mrs. Ronielyn P. Neri, AO II and Ms. Crysta Mie B. Azcarrate, ADAS II facilitated the checking of attendance and provided specific instructions on how the SBFP should be conducted in such a way that the learning blocks of the beneficiaries will not be compromised.

At Balesin IS, every meal served is more than food- it is hope, care and an opportunity for a brighter future. Through this program, we continue to nourish not only the bodies of our learners, but also their dreams, confidence, and capacity to learn, grow, and thrive.

First Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on the ILAW Framework and Lesson Planning and Use of AI on the Teaching-Learning Process

Balesin IS school successfully conducted its First Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on July 2, 2026, at the Grade 12 Classroom, bringing together teaching personnel in a collaborative professional learning activity aimed at enhancing instructional practices and promoting quality teaching.

The session focused on the ILAW Framework and Lesson Planning, emphasizing the importance of learner-centered, standards-based, and evidence-informed instructional planning aligned with the Department of Education's initiative to improve classroom instruction and learner outcomes. Through interactive discussions, collaborative sharing of best practices, and practical demonstrations, teachers gained deeper insights into designing effective lesson plans that foster active learner engagement, critical thinking, inclusivity, and meaningful assessment.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Melmar M. Villanueva, Head Teacher-1, of Balesin Integrated School, who served as the resource speaker. He highlighted the significance of thoughtful lesson preparation as the foundation of quality instruction and encouraged teachers to continuously innovate, collaborate, and reflect on their teaching practices to address the diverse learning needs of every learner.
