A Meaningful First Visit: Leading with Care, Living with Balance
Anawan Elementary School warmly welcomed our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Maribel M. Santelices, on her first visit to our school. π
More than a visit, it was an opportunity to connect, listen, and build relationships. Dr. Santelices took time to personally acquaint herself with our teachers, getting to know them not only as educators, but also as individuals with stories, responsibilities, dreams, and lives beyond the classroom.
Her message centered on an equally important aspect of being an effective educatorβthe balance between work and personal life. She reminded our teachers to take care of themselves by practicing healthy habits, including getting enough and timely sleep, so that they can function better, perform their responsibilities efficiently, and serve our learners wholeheartedly and with renewed energy.
She also left a beautiful reminder for every teacher and adviser: make every learnerβs memories meaningful. Every day spent in the classroom is an opportunity to create experiences that children will remember long after they leave our care. π
As educators, may we continue to nurture not only the minds of our learners but also their hearts, confidence, and memories. Because sometimes, the simplest moments in a classroom become the stories our learners carry with them for a lifetime.
