The historic turnover ceremony of the newly restored Gabaldon building at Sianib Elementary School was successfully held on September 24, 2025. The event was graced by our Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Zhyrine Mayormita, and Engr. Dave Patigayon, who led the official turnover of the project.
The program started with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. A warm welcome address was delivered by the school head Mrs. Sheryll L. Arabia, highlighting the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of the Gabaldon buildings and its relevance to 21st-century learning.
During the messages of inspiration, ASDS Dr. Mayormita underscored the Department of Education’s commitment to provide learners with safe, conducive, and historically significant learning environments and inspiring message delivered by our Newly Installed District Supervisor Mr. Rey Teotimo B. Tambolero. Engr. Patigayon, on the other hand, shared the technical journey and dedication poured into the restoration project, ensuring that the building maintained its original architecture while being equipped for modern use.
The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic turnover of the keys and documents, signifying the official handover of the building to Sianib Elementary School. This was followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and building tour, where guests, teachers, and learners expressed their excitement and gratitude.
The school community extended their heartfelt appreciation headed by Brgy. Capt. Veronico S. Gallon for the restored Gabaldon building, which stands not only as a functional facility but also as a heritage landmark that connects the past with the present. The event concluded with closing remarks and expressions of commitment to maximize the use of the building for quality teaching and learning.
Indeed, the turnover ceremony was a memorable occasion, marking a new chapter for Sianib Elementary School as it continues to provide learners with both historical pride and educational excellence.
