๐๐ข๐ข๐ | 272 Sto. Niรฑo Parishioners Gather To Accept The Sacrament of Confirmation
272 eligible catholic believers all-across Magsaysay gathered at Sto. Niรฑo Parish church on December 10, 2025 to accept the sacrament of confirmation, sealing the baptismal grace bestowed upon by the holy spirit, strengthening binded faith with God.
The said entrusting of sacrament was presided by Most Rev. Guillermo D. Afable, DD, together with parish priest Rev. Fr. Kristian Peter Edwyn Dorilag, DCD, along with Rev. Fr. Cerilo Palaca, DCD.
The sacrament of confirmation bestows the belivers a unique gift, the Holy Spirit himself in order for them to have the fervor and strength to proclaim the good news of Christ and to defend the faith the church holds.

๐๐ข๐ข๐ | Phoenixes Convene and Compete During DDCCS Sportsfest 2K25
In the recently concluded 3-day Diocese of Digos Commission for Catholic Schools (DDCCS) sportsfest 2025 beginning on Dec. 3 until Dec. 4, 2025, hosted by Cor Jesu College, Holy Cross of Magsaysay Inc. one of the three representatives from cluster A showcased passion for sports and determined spirits to win.
While many stood at the podium finish as silver and bronze medalists, some fell short, however only 1 athlete from HCMI is qualified to proceed to the DaDiTaMa Meet. Khia Shane Calis a Taekwondo Kyurogi player who won by default secured gold for the school.
Lastly, today marks the end of the DDCCS Sportsfest 2025, HCMI is proud of the relentless dedication and efforts the athletes have put to show. Gold may not be in their favor but one thing is certainโthey are phoenixes.
A Phoenix cannot rise without first crumbling.

On December 3, 2025, with the lighting of the urn and the recitation of oaths, the Diocese of Digos Commission on Catholic Schools (DDCCS) Sportsfest 2025 officially commenced at Cor Jesu College, Inc., with the theme โJourney in Harmony: Living Synodality through Sports and Cultureโ.
Delegates from Clusters A, B, and C, including Holy Cross of Magsaysay Inc. (HCMI), gathered to participate in the opening events.
HCMI was proudly represented by 17 socio-cultural performers in Philippine Folk Dance, Danza En Quatro, Vocal Duet, and Vocal Solo, alongside 5 dedicated players in the 3x3 Basketball Match. All participants completed their performances and games with commendable spirit and determination. Meanwhile, 2 chess players will resume their strategic matches tomorrow.
As one day concludes, another begins with renewed opportunity. A new day of competition awaits, offering fresh chances for excellence and camaraderie.

๐๐ข๐ข๐ | HCMI Celebrates 80 Years of International Unity, Bridging Diversity
The Historian's and Readers Club of Holy Cross of Magsaysay Inc. proudly hosts this years culmination of United Nations bearing the theme, "United Nations at 80: Building Our Future Together" held on November 27, 2025. In the objective to not only celebrate the UN, but also culminate National Reading Month.
Holy Crossians paved the streets of Poblacion, Magsaysay during the first part of the program. As gathered back to the campus, students with diverse national costumes marched the gymnasium.
In the morning segment of the event, students battled their wits out during the Quiz Bee, followed by a fun-filled "Your Accent Sounds Familiar", and concluding with the Storytelling competition.
Furthermore, the gym echoed in cheers as the most anticipated part of the occasion officially took place: Mr. & Ms. United Nations '25. Whereas Ms. Kate Mary Vocal, a grade 12 student representing the country of Japan, and a grade 9 student, Jefford Canillo, whom represented the nation of Thailand, received the titles Mr. & Ms. UN '25.
Indeed, the celebration highlighted that no matter how high societal borders are or how different cultures are to each other, unity begins when learners convene to celebrate one common goal.

๐๐ข๐ข๐ | HCMI Clinches 1st and 3rd Place During Inter-School Quipper Quiz Bee
Holy Cross of Magsaysay Inc. proudly flaunts in joyful celebration as the results were announced during the Inter-School Quipper Quiz Bee Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental wide competition on November, 25, 2025. Representatives for the Senior High School Category: Paula Bianca Genecila and Lidney Marie Nillas, were held as champions among the 7 participating campus delegates.
The Junior High School participants: Dave Arken Abrea, Shanaya Genecila, Samantha Siglos, and John Laurence Nasilla, also showed academic excellence as they ranked third place.
The HCMI campus brims with pride for the exceptional wit exhibited by the participants. The SHS representatives now aims to further train as they prepare for the upcoming Regional competition to be held in the Lyceum of the Philippines University - Davao.
