School-Based Press Conference 2026

Malapay High School wrapped up its School-Based Press Conference 2026 this afternoon, August 17.

The activity gave our student journalists time to learn, write, ask questions, practice their craft, and work with fellow learners who share the same interest in campus journalism.

From news and feature writing to sports writing, photojournalism, and the other areas of campus journalism, the students were given the chance to learn from their trainers and put their skills to practice.

More than the competition, activities like this give our young journalists the experience they need to become better writers, better observers, and more responsible storytellers.

To all our student journalists, trainers, and everyone who helped make the activity possible, thank you and congratulations!

Pagbubukas ng Buwan ng Wika 2026

Pormal na binuksan ngayong araw, Agosto 3, ng Malapay High School ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 na may temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon."

Sa pamamagitan ng iba't ibang bahagi ng programa, muling naipakita at naiparamdam ang kahalagahan ng ating sariling wika bilang daluyan ng pagkakakilanlan, kultura, at kaalaman. Naging makabuluhan rin ang pagdiriwang sa pagsasabuhay ng tema, na nagpapakita na maaaring magsama ang Wikang Filipino at makabagong teknolohiya upang higit pang mapaunlad ang pagkatuto at pananaliksik.

Kasabay rin ng programa ang Panunumpa ng mga Bagong Halal na Opisyal ng School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) at Board of Directors (BOD), na pinangunahan ng ating School Head, Sir Delfin M. Narito. Nawa'y magsilbi silang katuwang ng paaralan sa patuloy na pagsusulong ng de-kalidad na edukasyon at kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral.

Bilang bahagi rin ng pagdiriwang, kinilala ang mga mag-aaral na nagbigay-buhay sa kulturang Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng kanilang natatanging kasuotan. Itinanghal sila bilang Gatpuno at Dayang ng Kasuotan.

Sa bawat salitang ating ginagamit at sa bawat kulturang ating ipinagmamalaki, nananatiling buhay ang diwa ng pagiging Pilipino.

BUWAN NG WIKA 2026

Ang wika ay hindi lamang daluyan ng komunikasyon, ito ang tahanan ng ating pagkakakilanlan, kultura, at mga pangarap bilang isang bayan.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, muli nating ipinapaalala na ang Wikang Filipino, kasabay ng makabagong teknolohiya tulad ng Artificial Intelligence (AI), ay maaaring magsilbing kasangkapan sa mas malalim na pananaliksik, mas malawak na kaalaman, at mas makabuluhang pagkatuto. Hindi kailanman mapapalitan ng teknolohiya ang ating wika; bagkus, maaari itong maging tulay upang lalo pa itong mapaunlad at maipagmalaki.

Nawa'y maging inspirasyon ang pagdiriwang na ito upang patuloy nating mahalin, gamitin, at pagyamanin ang ating sariling wika, sapagkat ang bansang may pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika ay bansang may matatag na kinabukasan.

Sa Lunes, ika-tatlo ng Agosto, gaganapin sa Malapay High School ang Seremonya para sa Pagbubukas ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 na may temang:

Remembering Apolinario Mabini on His Birth Anniversary

Today, July 23, we honor the birth anniversary of Apolinario Mabini, a Filipino hero whose wisdom, courage, and love for our country continue to inspire us.

Despite the challenges he faced, Mabini never stopped serving the nation. Through his brilliant ideas and unwavering principles, he proved that true leadership comes from integrity, wisdom, and a genuine desire to help others.

As we remember his life and legacy, may we be inspired to become responsible citizens, value education, and always choose what is right-- even when it is difficult.
