CAMNHS HOLDS INTENSIVE TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN CAMPUS JOURNALISM SKILLS

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 25, 2026 — Camalog National High School (CamNHS) conducted an Intensive Training on Campus Journalism on August 25 at the Grade 10 Diamond Classroom, aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of student journalists, also known as CJs.

The training, themed “Building Ethical, Accurate, and Creative Journalists for the School and the Community,” brought together prospective and student journalists who participated in activities designed to develop their abilities in campus journalism.

Serving as resource speakers and trainers were Sir J***y G. Macababbad, Sir Jayson A. Aduca, Sir Shamgar Louie N. Candelario, Ma’am Marjorie S. Cristobal, and Ma’am Seiji S. Canias. They shared their knowledge and experiences to help the CJs improve their skills in responsible, accurate, and effective journalism.

The training ran from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing the participants with an intensive learning experience focused on the principles and practices of campus journalism.

The activity emphasized the importance of accuracy, fairness, ethics, creativity, and responsibility in journalism, particularly in producing news and information for the school community.

Through the training, CamNHS seeks to equip its student journalists with the necessary skills to become more confident and responsible communicators who can effectively tell stories and report events within the school and community.

CAMNHS CONDUCTS REGULAR MONDAY FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 24, 2026

Camalog National High School (CamNHS) held its regular Monday flag-raising ceremony on August 24, bringing together students, teachers, and school personnel to formally open the school week.

The ceremony began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the DepEd Prayer, the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, and the DepEd Quality Policy. The program continued with the singing of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Cordillera Hymn, and Kalinga Hymn.

The weekly flag-raising ceremony reinforces patriotism, discipline, unity, and responsibility among learners and school personnel, while upholding the core values of the Department of Education.

The activity concluded in an orderly manner as students and teachers proceeded to their respective classrooms and duties for the week.

CAMNHS INTRAMURALS CONTINUES WITH BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL, AND BADMINTON MATCHES

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 2026 | 3:30–5:00 p.m. — The 2026 Camalog National High School (CamNHS) Intramurals continued with another series of competitions in basketball, volleyball, and badminton, as participating units competed for victories and demonstrated their athletic skills and sportsmanship.

In the fifth match of the Men’s Basketball Division, Unit 1 – Master faced Unit 3 – Epic, with Unit 1 – Master securing a narrow 36–35 victory.

Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Volleyball competition, Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 4 – Legend.

The Badminton competition also featured several matches. In the Girls’ Singles, Unit 4 – Legend defeated Unit 1 – Master. In the Boys’ Singles, Unit 3 – Epic defeated Unit 1 – Master, while Unit 4 – Legend emerged victorious against Unit 3 – Epic in another singles match.

For the Boys’ Doubles, Unit 4 – Legend secured the victory against Unit 1 – Master.

The games were held from 3:30 pm. to 5:00 p.m., providing learners with an opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities while strengthening teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The 2026 Camalog National High School (CamNHS) Intramurals continued on August 20 with competitions in basketball, volleyball, long jump, and badminton.

In the Men’s Basketball Division, Unit 1 – Master defeated Unit 4 – Legend in Match 3, while Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 3 – Epic in Match 4.

In Long Jump, Unit 4 – Legend won the Men’s Division championship, and Unit 2 – Grandmaster won the Women’s Division championship.

In Girls’ Volleyball, Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 1 – Master in Match 1, and Unit 4 – Legend defeated Unit 3 – Epic in Match 2.

In Badminton, Unit 4 – Legend defeated Unit 1 – Master in Boys’ Singles Game 1, and Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 3 – Epic in Boys’ Singles Game 2. In Boys’ Doubles, Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 3 – Epic.

The intramurals aim to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among CamNHS learners.

CamNHS Holds Regular Thursday Flag Retreat After Third Day of Intramurals

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 20, 2026 — Camalog National High School (CamNHS) conducted its regular flag retreat on August 20 following the conclusion of the third day of the 2026 Intramural Games.

Students, teachers, and school personnel gathered for the flag retreat, which formally marked the end of the school day’s activities. The ceremony included the orderly lowering of the Philippine flag and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.

The flag retreat served as a simple conclusion to the day’s activities after three days of Intramural competitions, providing the CamNHS community with an opportunity to observe respect and patriotism toward the national flag.

The ceremony concluded in an orderly manner as participants dispersed after another day of school activities and Intramural Games.

CAMNHS HOLDS FIRST DAY OF INTRAMURAL GAMES; UNITS SHOWCASE SKILLS IN BASKETBALL AND CHESS

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 19, 2026 — Camalog National High School (CamNHS) held the first day of its 2026 Intramural Games on August 19, featuring basketball and chess competitions among the participating units.

In the first basketball game, Unit 2 – Grandmaster defeated Unit 1 – Master with a final score of 39–13.

For the second basketball matchup, Unit 3 – Epic emerged victorious against Unit 4 – Legend, finishing the game with a score of 35–20.

Meanwhile, the chess competition concluded with Unit 4 – Legend winning the Men’s Division, while Unit 2 – Grandmaster secured the Women’s Division championship.

The games started and finished at 3:30-5:00pm., marking the continuation of the three-day Intramurals scheduled from August 18 to 20, 2026.

The first day of games highlighted the learners’ skills, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship as they competed while fostering camaraderie among the participating units.

CamNHS Opens 2026 Intramurals with Unity, Sportsmanship, and Responsible Play

Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 18, 2026 — Camalog National High School (CamNHS) officially opened its 2026 Intramurals on August 18, bringing together learners, teachers, and school personnel for a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie.

Carrying the theme, “Sama-sama sa Paglalaro, Sama-sama sa Pag-unlad: Humuhubog ng Responsable at Matatag na mga Mag-aaral sa Pamamagitan ng Isports,” the three-day intramurals will run from August 18 to 20, 2026, featuring various sporting activities among participating teams.

During the opening program, the school community gathered to formally mark the start of the sports event, emphasizing the role of sports in developing discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and resilience among learners.

The SK guest speaker, Eric Mark Tedosio, shared an important reminder to the participating athletes and learners: “When you win, be humble; when you lose, be strong; when you make mistakes, learn to accept and improve.”

His message encouraged students to value good sportsmanship regardless of the outcome of every competition. Winning should be met with humility, while losses and mistakes should serve as opportunities for learning and improvement.

The opening program officially marked the beginning of three days of competition, camaraderie, and shared experiences as CamNHS learners come together through sports.
