CAMNHS HOLDS INTENSIVE TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN CAMPUS JOURNALISM SKILLS
Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga | August 25, 2026 — Camalog National High School (CamNHS) conducted an Intensive Training on Campus Journalism on August 25 at the Grade 10 Diamond Classroom, aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of student journalists, also known as CJs.
The training, themed “Building Ethical, Accurate, and Creative Journalists for the School and the Community,” brought together prospective and student journalists who participated in activities designed to develop their abilities in campus journalism.
Serving as resource speakers and trainers were Sir J***y G. Macababbad, Sir Jayson A. Aduca, Sir Shamgar Louie N. Candelario, Ma’am Marjorie S. Cristobal, and Ma’am Seiji S. Canias. They shared their knowledge and experiences to help the CJs improve their skills in responsible, accurate, and effective journalism.
The training ran from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing the participants with an intensive learning experience focused on the principles and practices of campus journalism.
The activity emphasized the importance of accuracy, fairness, ethics, creativity, and responsibility in journalism, particularly in producing news and information for the school community.
Through the training, CamNHS seeks to equip its student journalists with the necessary skills to become more confident and responsible communicators who can effectively tell stories and report events within the school and community.
