PVS Reaffirms Excellence in TESDA Assessment Through Successful 2026 Annual Compliance Audit

July 29, 2026 Pinukpuk Vocational School successfully passed the 2026 Annual Compliance Audit for Accredited Assessment Centers, conducted virtually via Zoom by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The audit covered the school's accredited qualifications in Bread and Pastry Production NC II and Dressmaking NC II, reaffirming the institution's full compliance with TESDA's quality assurance standards for assessment centers.

The audit was led by Hela-Rose Litdog, Senior TESDA Specialist from CSITE Mountain Province, together with Geoffrey Ana-ao Jr., TESDA Specialist II. The audit team comprehensively evaluated the school's assessment center operations, facilities, records, and documentary requirements to ensure continued adherence to TESDA's accreditation policies and procedures.

Providing valuable technical assistance throughout the audit were Berlyn P. Bayangan, TESDA Specialist II, and Cristy S. Sagban of the TESDA Kalinga Provincial Office. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in ensuring that all documentary requirements were complete, properly organized, and fully compliant with TESDA standards.

The successful completion of the audit was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of the Pinukpuk Vocational School Assessment Center personnel, led by Evangeline P. Abbacan, EPS and Concurrent School Head, who serves as the Assessment Center Manager. She was supported by Aldrin G. Denna, Processing Officer; Joan D. Tabago, Cashier; Christina T. Caddawan, Data Encoder; and Ruel D. Vasquez, Liaison Officer.

Also contributing significantly to the successful conduct of the audit were Elmira Mae T. Bueno, Dressmaking NC II Trainer; Ruth Vanessa B. Casil, Bread and Pastry Production NC II Trainer; and Mercy Grace L. Dugayon, Administrative Officer IV/OIC. Their professionalism, commitment, and collaborative efforts ensured the smooth presentation of documents and the efficient completion of the compliance audit.

The Annual Compliance Audit is a vital component of TESDA's quality assurance system, ensuring that accredited assessment centers consistently uphold the highest standards of competency assessment. Through this process, TESDA strengthens the credibility, integrity, and industry relevance of assessment services nationwide.

This successful audit is a testament to Pinukpuk Vocational School's unwavering commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement in technical-vocational education and skills assessment. PVS Strengthens Digital Learning and TVL Program Readiness Through Technical Assistance and Coordination

Pinukpuk, Kalinga – July 23, 2026 – Pinukpuk Vocational School welcomed Education Program Supervisors (EPS) from the Schools Division Office for a series of technical assistance and monitoring activities aimed at strengthening digital learning initiatives, enhancing instructional planning, and ensuring the school's readiness for the upcoming assessment center compliance.

Ma'am Michelle Joan B. Balicao, Education Program Supervisor (EPS), provided technical assistance to the school's designated Khan Academy Focal Person and ICT Coordinator, Christina T. Caddawan regarding the implementation of the Khan Academy Program. The activity focused on improving the integration of digital learning resources into classroom instruction, with the goal of providing more learners with equitable access to quality digital educational content and technology-enhanced learning opportunities.

Following the technical assistance session, a short coordination meeting was conducted with Ma'am Rhoda D. Balao-as, Education Program Supervisor, on key school initiatives.

She reiterated on the implementation of the ILAW Format Lesson Plan for Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) teachers to ensure consistency and quality in lesson preparation and classroom instruction.

The supervisors also assessed the readiness of the school's Assessment Center for the upcoming Annual Compliance Audit of the Dressmaking (DRM) NC II and Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC II programs scheduled on July 30, 2026. The monitoring activity ensured that facilities, equipment, instructional materials, and documentary requirements comply with the standards set for competency assessment.

The activity was attended by the school's key officials, including Aldrin G. Denna, MT I, TVL Head; Karolyn Fe A. Cambi, MT II, JHS Department Head; Ritchellyn A. Baquidan, MT II, SHS Department Head; and Mercy Grace L. Dugayon, AO IV, Officer-in-Charge (OIC), who expressed their commitment to continuously improving the school's instructional delivery, digital learning implementation, and technical-vocational education programs.

Through these collaborative efforts between the Schools Division Office and Pinukpuk Vocational School, the institution continues to strengthen its commitment to providing quality, accessible, and industry-responsive education while ensuring compliance with national standards and promoting innovation in teaching and learning.

PVS implements opening block through orientation

PINUKPUK, KALINGA - Pinukpuk Vocational School (PVS) conducted its General PTA Meeting to strengthen collaboration among parents, school personnel, and community stakeholders.

Administrative Officer IV Ms. Mercy Grace L. Dugayon introduced the teaching and non-teaching staff, while Mr. Abe Lee Dugayon, SPTA President, presented the Joint Resolution between the SPTA and PVSEA for the rehabilitation of School Building No. 12 (RSD Building) and its conversion into a School Heritage Building. The school head explained that the initiative aims to preserve the historic structure instead of condemning it.

During the meeting, Hon. Dominador S. Catriz, Barangay Captain of Taga, reminded parents about barangay ordinances, including the enforcement of curfew hours for minors, prevention of student loitering during class hours, monitoring of boarding houses, implementation of the Barangay Clearing Operation (BARCO), and participation in the Canalinisan Drive to maintain cleanliness and prevent dengue.

For DepEd updates, Judith C. Acosta discussed DepEd Orders No. 9 and 15, s. 2026 on the implementation of the three-term school calendar for School Year 2026-2027. She also emphasized the guidelines on awards and recognition and reminded learners that cellphones are prohibited during class hours.

Meanwhile, Christina T. Caddawan informed parents about the DICT JuanSim Bayanihan Project, which provides learners with SIM cards containing 25GB of monthly data for one year to support their educational needs.

Ms. Dugayon also presented DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026 on Learning Continuity in Times of Emergencies through the 4H framework: HAYO, HINAY, HINGA, and HINTO. She encouraged parents to coordinate with the school regarding their children's attendance during emergencies and reiterated that education remains essential in securing a better future.

Updates on the Strengthened Senior High School Program under DepEd Order No. 17, s. 2026 were presented by Ritchellyn A. Baquidan, while Brigitte D. Lardizabal, School Guidance Counselor, discussed the Kaagapay Program and emphasized the vital role of parents in preventing bullying through open communication and active support.

The meeting concluded at 11:20 a.m. upon the motion of Aldrin G. Denna, reaffirming the shared commitment of the school, parents, and community toward the welfare and success of PVS learners.

Pinukpuk Vocational School Concludes Brigada Eskwela 2026, Declares School Ready for SY 2026-2027

Pinukpuk Vocational School has successfully concluded Brigada Eskwela 2026. The school’s accomplishments for Day 5 include:

✅Weeding, cleaning, and clearing of school grounds
✅Sweeping and mopping of floors, wiping of windows, desks, and boards, and arrangement of chairs and learning materials in classrooms and offices
✅Maintenance of the school garden – Gulayan sa Paaralan
✅Repainting of faded walls, school fences, and roofs
✅Cleaning of comfort rooms
✅Repair of doors, chairs, and tables
✅Conduct of Brigada Pagbasa for Literacy and Numeracy, and recording of learners’ Body Mass Index
✅General beautification of school premises

With these, Pinukpuk Vocational School is now ready and safe for School Year 2026-2027.
