FEBRUARY IS PHILIPPINE HEART MONTH

Ayon sa Field Health Service Information System (FHSIS) ng Department of Health, 36% o 1 sa 3 Pilipino ang may sakit sa puso noong 2024. Sa nakalipas na limang taon, ito pa rin ang nangungunang sanhi ng pagkamatay ng mga Pilipino.

Kadalasan, sanhi ito ng Coronary Artery Disease, na nangyayari kapag nagbabara ang mga ugat ng puso dahil sa naipong kolesterol o taba.

Karamihan sa mga risk factor ng Coronary Artery Disease ay modifiable o maaaring baguhin, kaya nararapat itong aksyunan bago pa mauwi sa heart attack o atake sa puso.

Today, January 15, 2026, “Oplan Kapkap” was conducted to inspect the bags and belongings of senior high school learners. The activity aimed to confiscate prohibited items such as vapes, ci******es, alcoholic beverages, and deadly weapons. This initiative was carried out to ensure the safety of learners and to maintain a safe, orderly, and drug-free school environment.

🧼🌍 Happy Global Handwashing Day! 🌍🧼

Today, we’re raising our hands for hygiene! ✋💧
At Sacritan Integrated School,we’re teaching students the power of clean hands — one wash at a time.

Handwashing with soap is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent disease, keep our school community healthy, and ensure more days in the classroom and fewer at home sick.

🖍️ Students had fun learning the 5 steps of handwashing:
1️⃣ Wet
2️⃣ Lather
3️⃣ Scrub (for 20 seconds!)
4️⃣ Rinse
5️⃣ Dry

Let’s keep promoting good hygiene habits that last a lifetime.

The Bakuna Eskwela program was successfully launced today, October 22, 2024 at Sacritan Integrated School -Pinili, Ilocos Norte. This initiative aims to protect our students and entire community from preventable diseases.

Free vaccinations were administered to our Grade 1 and Grade 7 students against Measles-Rubella and Tetanus-Diphtheria by our dedicated team from the Department of Health (DOH), in collaboration with the Rural Health Unit of Pinili and Barangay Health Workers (BHW).

We are immensely grateful to our healthcare workers, local government officials, teachers, and parents for their unwavering support in ensuring the health and protection of our students!

Sacritan Integrated School joined the 2024 Global Handwashing Day with the theme "Why Are Clean Hands Still Important?" 🌍💦🙌

Learners and teachers of Sacritan IS took part in the simultaneous handwashing activity led by our WINS Coordinators, Mrs. Beverly Rose B. Delos Santos and Mrs. Angelina M. Ipac.

This program is dedicated to equipping individuals with proper handwashing techniques while fostering a culture of health and wellness that they can share within their communities. Together, we emphasize the importance of clean hands in maintaining health and protecting those around us.
