Maligalig hailed as Copy Reading English Champion, Earns a Spot in RSPC

Following her 2nd place win in the Pinamalayan East District Schools Press Conference, Xyza Alexis Maligalig hailed as champion of the Copy Reading English category during the 2026 Oriental Mindoro Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held last September 11-13, 2026.

Other Pili NHS student-journalists likewise earned notable placements. Jasmine Czarina Galleon placed 5th in Editorial Cartooning Filipino, while Diandra Peradilla secured the 10th spot in the Column Writing English.

These victories are more than recognition - it is a testament to their passion and perseverance powered with constant mentorship of the School Journalism Adviser, Mam Jennifer Castillo, unleashing truth told through the eyes of the next generation.

Buong pusong pagmamalaki at may kagalakang ipinapaabot ng PILI NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ang pagbati sa aming mahusay at talentadong senior high school alumna na si GLYCEL M. FRANCISCO sa kanyang nakamit na KAMPEONATO sa Poster Making Contest na isinagawa ng MIMAROPA Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Sa gitna ng 44 na kalahok at mga natatanging likhang-sining, namukod-tangi ang kanyang pagkamalikhain, dedikasyon, at husay sa sining upang makamit ang pinakamataas na parangal. Ang kanyang nagwaging obra ay matagumpay na nagbigay-buhay sa temang, "Bawat Kabataan Mahalaga sa Drug-Free na Kinabukasan."

Ang kahanga-hangang tagumpay na ito ay patunay ng kanyang talento, pagsisikap, at paninindigan na gamitin ang sining bilang makapangyarihang instrumento sa pagsusulong ng positibong pagbabago at adbokasiya laban sa ilegal na droga.

Nawa'y magsilbi kang inspirasyon sa iyong kapwa kabataan upang patuloy na magsikap, mangarap, at maging tagapagtaguyod ng isang ligtas at drug-free na kinabukasan.

DepEd Strengthens School Safety Through Proper Bag Inspection Guidelines

In line with our strong commitment to provide a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment to all our learners, the Department of Education emphasizes the proper implementation of Bag Inspection Guidelines pursuant to DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026.

Schools are reminded that bag inspections shall be conducted with respect, fairness, and adherence to established protocols, ensuring the protection and well-being of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and visitors while maintaining a positive school environment.

Bag inspections shall be conducted by authorized personnel. Non-contact inspection methods shall be observed whenever applicable to ensure dignity, privacy, and respect. All schools are expected to implement safety measures without compromising learnersโ€™ rights.

Let us work together in building schools that are not only places of learning, but mostly, are safe spaces for everyone.

A meaningful start to a new school year!

Today, we proudly welcomed our learners and officially opened School Year 2026โ€“2027 with the presence of our PSDS, Sir Nonato R. Magtibay.

The day began with an opening Prayer and a solemn Flag Ceremony, followed by the recitation of the DepEd Vision, Mission, and Core Values, as well as the Panunumpa ng mga G**o, reaffirming our commitment to quality education and dedicated service to our learners.

During the program, the dedicated teaching and non-teaching personnel of Pili National High School were introducedโ€”from our Grade 7 to Grade 12 advisers, coordinators, support staff, and school headsโ€”led by our Principal IV, Elizabeth Z. Cajefe, EdD.

Together, we begin another year of learning, service, and excellence, committed to nurturing every learner and building a brighter future.
