The Community Exposure: Project HIRAYA (Holistic Initiative for Reading Advancement through Youth Action Engagement) has successfully concluded as the culminating activity of Community Engagement, Solidarity, and Citizenship (CESC) held last February 18, 2026 at Tiguihan Elementary School

Driven by the vision of hirayaโ€”hope, aspiration, and imagination, this initiative addressed the reading needs of Kindergarten to Grade 6 learners of Tiguihan Elementary School through the dedication of Grade 12 Senior High School students of Leandro Panganiban Sr. Tagumpay High School, who served as volunteer reading mentors and advocates.

This collaborative effort not only enhanced pupilsโ€™ reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary, but also instilled leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility among our student volunteers.

Our sincerest gratitude to the project proponents, Jerwin Pelaez and Jelica Jane Largado as well as to the supportive school head, Mr. Chriz Llave , LPS faculty and staff, parents, community stakeholders and Tiguihan Elementary School faculty and staff headed by Mr. Rexonvil Nolos who made this initiative possible.

This initiative highlights the power of youth-led volunteerism, where Grade 12 HUMSS students of Leandro Panganiban Sr. โ€“ Tagumpay High School served as reading mentors to the pupils of Tiguihan Elementary School. Through guided reading sessions, storytelling, and one-on-one tutoring, the project aimed to improve learnersโ€™ reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated CESC advisers, student volunteers, Mr. Chriz Llave ,our supportive school head, community stakeholders, and the faculty and staff of Tiguihan Elementary School headed by Mr. Rexonvil Nolos who made this project a success.

Matagumpay na isinagawa ng mga mag-aaral ng Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) ang Coastal Clean-Up Drive sa Tagumpay Coastline, Pola, Oriental Mindoro bilang bahagi ng kanilang asignaturang Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship.

Kaagapay ang Tagumpay Barangay LGU sa pangunguna ni Barangay Captain Geronimo Perez Sr. at LPSTH Principal I, Christopher M. Llave, ang programang Save Our Shoreline: Coastal Clean-Up Movement ay nagsilbing culminating activity na naglalayong hubugin ang kamalayan ng mga mag-aaral sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan, wastong solid waste management, bolunterismo, at aktibong pagkamamamayan. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos, naipakita ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang malasakit sa kapaligiran at ang mahalagang papel ng kabataan sa pagpapanatili ng malinis at ligtas na baybayin.

Lubos na pinahahalagahan ang suporta ng paaralan, mga g**o, at ng Barangay ng Tagumpay sa tagumpay ng gawaing ito. Patunay ito na kapag nagkakaisa ang paaralan at komunidad, nagiging posible ang makabuluhang pagbabago para sa kalikasan at sa susunod na henerasyon.

Lubos na nagpapasalamat ang mga advisers ng asignatura na sina G. Mark Jerwin Pelaez at Gng. Jelica Jane Largado sa lahat ng mga aktibong lumahok na mag-aaral at barangay Tagumpay Officials sa inisyatibong ito.
