The Partido State University (ParSU), through the College of Arts and Humanities, in partnership with the Philippine Historical Association, invites researchers, educators, students, and history enthusiasts to the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐮𝐦 with the theme “𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨" on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, in a 𝐡𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, allowing both on-site and virtual participation.

Anchored on the celebration of the 𝟏𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲, the colloquium serves as a platform for presenting historical research and strengthening the connection between academic scholarship and the shaping of national memory. It highlights how historiography can critically engage dominant narratives while elevating regional perspectives in understanding the Philippine Revolution.

This year’s colloquium places special emphasis on Bikol’s role in the struggle for independence, underscoring the importance of regional histories in broadening and enriching the national historical discourse.

The event will feature distinguished plenary speakers, namely:
