To give more students a chance to showcase their talent and passion in music, the Pili National High School Drum and Xylophone Corps officially extends its Training and Screening.

Sa pagtatapos ng Taong Panuruan 2025–2026, ating buong pusong binigyang-pugay at pagkilala ang mga natatanging miyembro ng Drum and Xylophone Corps na naging bahagi ng mga alaala, tagumpay, at himig na kailanman ay hindi malilimutan.

Sa likod ng bawat tugtog, martsa, ensayo, pagod, at sakripisyo ay ang inyong dedikasyon, disiplina, at pagmamahal sa grupo. Hindi matutumbasan ng anumang salita ang inyong naging ambag at serbisyo sa DXC.

Ang “salamat” ay hindi magiging sapat upang tumbasan ang lahat ng inyong iniwan at ibinahagi sa organisasyon. Ang inyong pangalan, alaala, at kontribusyon ay mananatiling bahagi ng puso at legasiya ng DXC.

The outgoing Drum and Xylophone Corps Leader, who has officially turned over his command to the new leadership, served the organization for four remarkable years with dedication, commitment, pride, and honor. Through his invaluable contributions, we look back on his journey not only as a leader, but as a true servant of the organization and its members.

Behind his calm, soft-spoken, and reserved personality was a leader filled with strength, wisdom, and determination. With his quiet charm and steadfast leadership, he showed us how unity can be built within a diverse group of individuals. He proved that leadership is not always measured by loud words, but by genuine actions, resilience during challenges, and the ability to care deeply for the people and institution he served. Throughout his term, he carried the organization with love, humility, and unwavering commitment.

His departure will indeed leave a void within the hearts of those who marched, performed, and grew alongside him. As he now takes a different path toward a new chapter in life, the memories, lessons, and legacy he leaves behind will forever remain within the rhythm of the DXC.

People come and go, but the impact of a sincere leader never fades. His legacy of excellence, discipline, passion, and championship spirit on and beyond the performance stage will continue to inspire the new generations of the Drum and Xylophone Corps.

As we bid farewell to a leader who gave his all for the organization, let us continue to honor and uphold the values he instilled within us. May we carry forward the unity, dedication, and love for service that he exemplified throughout his journey with the DXC.

School Year 2025–2026

The Drum and Xylophone Corps highlighted the meaningful events, accomplishments, and milestones that shaped our organization throughout 2025 and beyond. Each activity reflected our dedication to leadership, service, excellence, discipline, and unity as one DXC family.

The 2025 DXC Training Initial and Final Evaluation served as an essential foundation for the growth and readiness of our members. Through these assessments, we strengthened our knowledge, discipline, teamwork, and commitment to becoming responsible and capable members of the organization.

The 2025 DXC Screening identified passionate and dedicated individuals who are prepared to uphold the mission and values of the club. This process ensured that the organization remains composed of members who embody leadership, service, integrity, and perseverance.

Back to School 2025 showcased our commitment to supporting students as they began another academic year. Through this initiative, we promoted encouragement, preparedness, positivity, and community spirit among learners.

The Induction of Officers marked the beginning of a new leadership journey for student leaders, strengthening our responsibility to lead with purpose, accountability, dedication, and excellence.

Our participation during the World Teachers’ Day Celebration honored the unwavering dedication and sacrifices of our beloved educators. This event allowed us to express our gratitude to the mentors who continuously guide, inspire, and shape our future.

The DXC Scavenging Drive demonstrated our commitment to environmental awareness and community service. It reminded us that true leadership also means caring for our surroundings and becoming responsible citizens of the community.

The 1st DXC Mobile Legends Tournament introduced camaraderie, teamwork, strategic thinking, and healthy competition among participants. It became a platform that fostered friendship, unity, and sportsmanship among students.

Our involvement in LEARNCON expanded our perspectives as student leaders and learners. It strengthened collaboration, leadership skills, and inspired us to strive for greater academic and civic excellence.

Building upon the success of the first tournament, the 2nd DXC Mobile Legends Tournament further promoted unity, sportsmanship, and engagement within the student community. It reflected our ability to organize meaningful and interactive activities for students.

During the school’s 56th Foundation Anniversary, our participation in the Drums and Xylo-Booth highlighted our creativity, teamwork, dedication, and school spirit. This event became a celebration of our pride and identity as members of the Pili National High School community.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 🥁

Our presence during opening ceremonies showcased our support for sportsmanship, camaraderie, and active community engagement. It became a proud representation of unity and participation.

The Intramurals Opening Parade reflected our enthusiasm, discipline, teamwork, and school pride. We marched not only as performers but as representatives of excellence and commitment.

Through civic and cultural competitions, we were able to display discipline, coordination, confidence, and creativity in every performance. These opportunities strengthened our public presence and developed our sense of responsibility as representatives of the school.

Joining the Peñafrancia Festival became a significant opportunity for the organization to represent the school in one of the region’s most prestigious cultural and religious celebrations. It highlighted our resilience, dedication, unity, and passion for service.

Our participation in various competitions reflected our unwavering commitment to excellence, discipline, and representation. In every beat, every formation, and every performance, we proudly carried the values and identity of the DXC.

The Socio-Civic Parade emphasized our role as active contributors to society and community development. It became a meaningful demonstration of service, cooperation, leadership, and civic responsibility.

None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the trust, support, and guidance of our school administrators, teachers, alumni, parents, trainers, and fellow students who continuously believed in our organization. To everyone who became part of our journey, thank you for allowing us to serve, lead, and perform with purpose and integrity.

As this chapter comes to a close, we carry with us not only memories and achievements, but also the lessons, friendships, and legacy that strengthened the heart of the organization. Through every challenge, victory, performance, and sacrifice, we remained committed to our mission of harmoniously serving with passion and integrity.

The Pili National High School Drum and Xylophone Corps officially begin its 2-week intensive training starting May 11–23, 2026, prior to the screening day on May 23, 2026, which will serve as the basis for determining the official lineup of the DXC for the School Year 2026–2027.

Twelve (12) DXC applicants accepted the challenge of becoming official members who will undergo music and physical training, as well as assessments of their attitude and potential skills.

Patrick Andrei V. De Vega, the Consultant for Operations, facilitated the orientation and training together with the members, alumni, former DXC President Chris Charles B. Cortez, and former DXC Leader Troy T. Deres, who helped in mentoring, guiding, and preparing the applicants throughout the training. On behalf of the initiatives and guidance of the DXC Coordinator, Sir Julius Paul B. Botor, this training aims to develop the applicants’ musical skills, discipline, teamwork, and readiness to become official members of the organization.

Interested students who meet the qualifications may still join until Friday, May 15, 2026.

As School Year 2026–2027 begins, the time has come once again to welcome a new generation of members who will continue the proud legacy of delivering outstanding and awe-inspiring performances while harmoniously serving with passion and integrity.

The Pili National High School Drum and Xylophone Corps will conduct a two-week music and physical training, followed by a one-day screening, from May 11–23, 2026.

If you are a PNHS student or transferee with passion, dedication, and the willingness to learn, this is your opportunity to become part of a dynamic and disciplined organization.

Qualifications:
- Must be an officially enrolled student of PNHS for the S/Y 2026–2027
- Incoming Grades 8 to 11 are highly encouraged
- At least 5'2 in height
- Physically fit and with a pleasing personality
- Willing to learn and undergo training
- Ready to commit time and efforts during training and practice

We are searching for:
- Xylophonists (Bass and Melody Xylophonists, Cymbal Player)
- Drum Percussionists (Snare Drum Player, Quintom Player, Bass Drum Player)
