Some only wear the uniform when there’s a camp to attend, badges to earn, or pictures to post. But Scouting was never meant to be active only when tents are raised and events are near. The real spirit of a Scout is seen in the quiet days — when there’s no spotlight, no applause, and no certificates waiting at the end. Because being a Scout is not just a seasonal role, it’s a commitment to serve, lead, and stay loyal to the values we promised to live by, even when nobody is watching.
Learn to unlearn the habit of showing up only when there’s a camp, an event, or something exciting waiting ahead.
In the quiet ordinary days—no campfires, no loud cheers, no badges waiting to be earned—this is where being a Scout is truly tested.
Not during the grand events. Not only when the uniform feels heavy with pride. But in the unseen moments, in the simple act of showing up, in choosing to stay committed even when there is no audience.
Scouting was never meant to be seasonal.
It is easy to be present when there’s a camp to attend, a program to join, or a recognition to receive. But the real challenge lies in unlearning the habit of being active only when it’s convenient—only when something exciting is happening.
Every step taken, even on the simplest days, matters.
So if you find yourself drifting, waiting for the next big event to feel like a Scout again—this is your reminder:
You don’t wear the uniform only when there’s a reason to.
You live its meaning, every single day.
Because being a Scout is not just something you do.
It’s something you choose—again and again.

Flames of Hope.
A peaceful afternoon in Barangay Intongcan, President Roxas, Capiz, suddenly turned tragic on January 28, in the calm midst of the afternoon, an unexpected fire broke out and consumed a family’s home.
After the fire, support came not from strangers but from a group of dedicated youth committed to serving others. The Outfit 88 Flyers’ Niche of the Boy Scouts from Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School took the initiative to assist the affected family. The outreach effort was led by Senior Crew Leader Adam Nicholas Bitoon, together with Assistant Senior Crew Leader Jymz Edward Bermil, whose leadership encouraged everyone to come together for a common cause. Guided by the principles of duty, honor, and service, the group organized a relief drive, providing essential items such as food, clothing, and other basic needs.
Sixteen Scouts came together for the Dumangon Family, hoping to help in any way we could. Along the way, we realized we weren’t doing it alone. So many people stepped in, gave what they could, and showed us what real bayanihan looks like.
On March 17, the Scouts departed from FYCNHS at 1:00 PM and arrived at their destination at approximately 1:30 PM.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped. Every donation, every effort, every bit of support truly meant a lot—it gave hope, comfort, and strength when it was needed most.
We also want to thank our outfit advisers, Ma’am Pamela Bataican, and Ma’am Leonora Hari-on, and adult leader Sir John Mark Hari-on for guiding us throughout this outreach. Your support and wisdom helped turn this simple plan into something meaningful.
To the Dumangon family, the support meant far more than the supplies they received. The Scouts’ presence offered reassurance in a time of loss, showing that kindness still exists even in difficult moments. Through their genuine and heartfelt actions, they helped the family feel supported and reminded them that they did not have to face the aftermath alone.
This may have started with 16 Scouts, but it became a story shared by many. And that’s what made it special.

Where Flames Took a Home, Hearts Brought Hope
A quiet evening in Barangay Dupax, President Roxas, Capiz turned tragic on January 2, between 8:00 and 8:30 in the evening, when a sudden fire engulfed a family’s home. In just a short span of time, the flames left nothing standing—no furniture, no clothes, no treasured belongings—only loss and uncertainty in their wake.
In the aftermath of the fire, help came not from strangers, but from a group of young individuals driven by service. Outfit 88 Flyers' Niche, the Boy Scouts of Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School, stepped forward to extend assistance to the affected family. This outreach program was initiated by Former Senior Crew Leader Joseph Escubillo, whose leadership and commitment to service inspired the collective effort. Guided by the Scout values of duty, honor, and service, the group organized a relief initiative to provide food, clothing, and other basic necessities.
For the family, the assistance went beyond material aid. The presence of the Scouts brought comfort during a moment of despair—proof that even in the darkest times, compassion remains alive. Their simple yet sincere gestures reminded the family that they were not alone in facing the aftermath of the tragedy.
The initiative of Outfit 88 Flyers' Niche reflects the true spirit of bayanihan and the essence of Scouting: to help other people at all times. Through their actions, the Scouts transformed a story of destruction into one of hope, solidarity, and community resilience.
As the family in Barangay Dupax slowly begins to rebuild their lives, the kindness shown by the Boy Scouts of Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School—led by service-oriented youth and dedicated leaders—stands as a powerful reminder that service knows no age, and that from the ashes of loss, hope can still rise.

Flyers’ Niche – Outfit 88 proudly joined the Acquaintance Party 2025 with a creative and fun booth display!
Our scouts showed their talents and teamwork by using simple and resourceful materials to build mini pioneering projects, a knot board, and trail signs made out of stones.
They also demonstrated two types of campfire setups—a great way to share basic survival skills and the spirit of outdoor adventure.
Everything was made with hard work, creativity, and true scouting spirit. This activity helped our scouts share their knowledge, inspire others, and enjoy the event with fellow students and visitors.
