PNAHS Launches Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program

PILAR, CALBAYOG CITY– Pilar National Agricultural High School (PNAHS) officially launched its Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program at 8:30 a.m. at the school's Mini-Plaza, gathering education stakeholders, local government officials, parents, and community members in preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

With the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the event highlighted the importance of collective effort and community partnership in ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners.

The program commenced with the arrival of participants and a motorcade, followed by the opening preliminaries. The teaching staff of PNAHS was also formally introduced to the attendees.

School Head Mrs. Elizabeth B. Lumod welcomed the participants and expressed her appreciation for the unwavering support of the school's stakeholders. She emphasized that Brigada Eskwela serves as a testament to the community's commitment to quality education and learner welfare.

Several local government officials attended the kick-off ceremony and conveyed their messages of support. Among them were Barangay Captain Urcisino J. Anquilan and the Barangay Council of Pilar, Barangay Captain Joseph L. Lomocso and the Barangay Council of Roxas, Barangay Captain Edgardo T. Lagrimas and the Barangay Council of Macatingog, Barangay Captain Efren L. Reyes and the Barangay Council of Bayo, and Barangay Kagawad Marietta Bantasan of Cag-anibong. Their presence underscored the strong partnership between the school and neighboring communities in promoting education and youth development.

The program also featured an intermission number by selected students and a community dance participated in by various stakeholders. A pledge of commitment and signing of commitment followed, symbolizing the participants' dedication to supporting the school's preparation activities.

Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide initiative of the Department of Education that encourages volunteerism and collaboration among stakeholders in preparing public schools for the opening of classes. Through the active participation of local officials, parents, teachers, and community members, PNAHS continues to strengthen the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility in education.

The successful conduct of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program reflects the community's united effort to provide learners with a safe, welcoming, and learner-friendly environment as they begin another academic year.
