INSET is a vital element in the professional development of teachers and school staff. It fosters a collaborative and participative environment, encouraging active engagement and shared learning that aligns with the school's goals for continuous improvement.

Recently, a successful Cluster-Based INSET was conducted for Pilar Central School and South Balioag Primary School under the leadership of Miss Rosewel G. Labutong. This initiative demonstrated the schools' strong commitment to cultivating a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence among educators.

During the event, Mrs. Elinore B. Bobias, Master Teacher II, and Mrs. Estela M. Berido, Master Teacher I, served as the keynote speakers, sharing valuable insights and expertise that enriched the learning experience for all participants.

SAFETY & READINESS AT PILAR CS!

Safety first always!

We successfully conducted our Safety & Security Drill at Pilar Central School and we were honored to have the Philippine National Police, Pilar Station join and lead the way.

Our PNP officers conducted a special orientation and lecture on what to do in case an intruder enters the school premises — sharing vital, practical guidance for learners, teachers, and staff:
✅ How to stay calm and alert
✅ Proper lockdown procedures
✅ Safe hiding and evacuation practices
✅ Immediate actions to take
✅ How to report and respond appropriately

The drill and lecture helped our school community be better prepared, more vigilant, and more confident — because when it comes to safety, we never stop learning and practicing.

NEW VOLLEYBALL COURT FOR PCS: MAYOR CONDUCTS ON SITE INSPECTION

Today, Mayor Tyron Reyna Beroña visited the school to monitor the progress of his project — the cementing of our school volleyball court!

This long-awaited upgrade will give our students and athletes a safer, smoother, and more durable space to practice, play, and hone their skills. No more uneven ground or muddy courts after rain — just a proper court ready for games, training, and school events!

We’re deeply grateful to Mayor and his team for prioritizing our youth’s sports development and investing in better facilities for our school. Thank you for seeing the value in our students’ growth — not just in the classroom, but on the court too!

✅LGU Support for School Ground Improvement

Today, Mayor Tyron Reyna Beroña personally visited the school site to monitor the progress of the ongoing project—cementing the school grounds, which will serve as a volleyball court and a versatile space for various activities requiring a spacious, durable surface. His unwavering commitment to community development including schools, was clearly evident. Despite the inclement weather, engineers, and laborers diligently continued their work, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring the project's success. Rain or shine, the Mayor remains steadfast in his efforts to improve the lives of his constituents and strengthen the community.

Thanks to their assistance, PCS will soon have a cemented volleyball court that will serve as a vital sports facility not only for all athletes in Pilar Central School but also for the entire municipality of Pilar during district meets and other athletic events held on our school grounds.

This development is a testament to the LGU’s dedication to promoting sportsmanship, unity, and healthy competition among our learners and the community. Truly, “support and partnership are the keys to building stronger and more resilient communities.”

Today marks the successful conclusion of the Division Training on Early Learning Literacy and Numeracy (ELLN) with a focus on the Science of Reading, held from August 29-31, 2026, at City Travel Hotel, Kisad Road, Baguio City. The training was actively participated in by dedicated educators, including Mrs. Chrisnela B. Buyag, Teacher VI and Grade 1 Opal Adviser of our school.
