School Gets Free WiFi, Yatinians Rejoice!
By: Geffen May Valle
Yating National High School has just rolled out free WiFi across the campus, and students are going wild! The move is in line with Republic Act 10929 also known as "Free Internet Access to Public Places Act" and aims to provide free internet access in public places, including schools. Big thanks to the efforts of President Ferdinand "BongBong" Marcos Jr. and the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), students can now enjoy seamless connectivity.
The WiFi network covers classrooms, libraries, and common areas, making it easier for students to access online resources, submit assignments, and stay connected with peers. "We're stoked about the new WiFi... it's gonna make a huge difference in our daily school life," said a student during the installation.
The school administration believes the free WiFi will enhance the learning experience and provide more opportunities for students to succeed. So, get ready to log in and stay connected! 👍
Salute to President Marcos and the DICT for making this happen! 🙌

The JS Prom of Yating NHS was a night to remember, with students from Grade 10 and 12 coming together to celebrate their special night last February 20, 2026 at Yating Public Plaza.
The evening was filled with music, dance, and laughter as students showed off their best attire. The cotillion and other dance performances were the highlights of the night, choreographed by Jonalyn Daquira, JHS MAPEH teacher. The event was concluded with senuors Malongayon and Villaruz as Prom King and Queen.
The event was made possible by the support of the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) headed by Mrs Richelda Devesme Humpay, YNHS Faculty and Staff and with the guidance of Mr. Reynaldo B. Dorado ... attended by over 150 students from the Grade 10 and 12 learning community together with their teachers. The event is an annual tradition where senior students pass on the responsibility to their juniors, symbolizing the transfer of leadership and unity.
Overall, the JS Prom of Yating NHS was a night of joy, friendship, and celebration, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
