๐๐ˆ๐‹๐€๐‘, ๐€๐๐‘๐€ โ€” Pilar Rural High School recently concluded its PTA Meeting and Card Giving Day, bringing together parents, teachers, and school stakeholders in a meaningful gathering centered on learner progress, teacher dedication, and stronger school-home partnership.

The activity provided parents and guardians an opportunity to receive their children's report cards, understand their academic progress, and engage with teachers on their strengths and areas for improvement. It also served as a meaningful occasion to recognize and honor teachers for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable service to learners.

More than a meeting and a card-giving activity, the gathering reinforced a powerful message: education thrives when schools and families move forward together.

๐๐ˆ๐‹๐€๐‘, ๐€๐๐‘๐€ โ€” Pilar Rural High School joined the Abra Provincial Health Office and Pilar Rural Health Unit in confronting the dangers of smoking and va**ng through a school-based advocacy conducted on September 16, 2026, aimed at raising learnersโ€™ awareness and strengthening efforts toward a healthier, smoke- and vape-free community.

Health personnel engaged learners through an informative discussion and interactive exchange, emphasizing the harmful effects of smoking and va**ng and empowering students to make informed, healthier choices. The activity also encouraged learners to become advocates for to***co- and vape-free lifestyles in school and in their communities.

The advocacy delivered a clear message: awareness fuels prevention, informed choices protect lives, and empowered youth can help shape a healthier generation.

The sessions tackled the Revised Kโ€“12 Curriculum and ILAW lesson planning, digital and AI-powered pedagogy, Senior High School curriculum strengthening, assessment and feedback, and literacy and numeracy across key stages.

The training moved from knowledge to action through afternoon demonstration teaching, giving educators the opportunity to apply the strategies they had explored throughout the day. Collaboration, reflection, and professional exchange underscored a central message: educational transformation begins with teachers who are willing to learn, adapt, and lead.
The activity concluded with sharing of insights, the awarding of certificates, and a message from Principal II Susan A. Mina.

For Pilar Rural High School, the INSET was more than a professional development activityโ€”it was an investment in people, a response to learning challenges, and a step toward a future where every learner has a stronger opportunity to succeed.
