ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

💛 OUR SINCERE THANKS TO Mayor Queen Marilyd Alarva 💛

Linga National High School extends its heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Queen Marilyd S. Alarva, Mayor of Pila, for her immediate response and assistance during yesterday’s heavy rainfall.

Due to the continuous rain, the drainage near the entrance of our school overflowed, causing flooding and making the pathway unsafe and temporarily impassable for our students.

Upon seeing the situation, Mayor Queen Alarva immediately provided pallets that served as a temporary walkway while we waited for the drainage to be cleaned and cleared.

Your quick response, genuine concern, and commitment to the safety and welfare of our learners are truly appreciated. Your immediate action made a meaningful difference in ensuring that our students could safely enter and exit the school.

Learners will continue with Home-Based Independent Learning Activities (HINAY). Students are advised to stay at home and accomplish the learning activities provided by their respective teachers.

In line with the Early Implementation of Education in Emergencies (EiE), Linga National High School will continue the implementation of Home-Based Independent Learning Activities (HINAY). Learners are directed to stay at home and accomplish the learning tasks provided by their respective subject teachers through the school's designated learning and communication platforms.
