The Pikit National High School community is hereby informed that there will be NO CLASSES tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in observance of the 1448 Hijrah Maulidun Nabi (Birthday of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.).
According to the Public Advisory issued by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF)โSOCCSKSARGEN Region, the observance falls on August 26, 2026 (Wednesday), corresponding to the 12th day of Rabiโul Awwal 1448H.
The advisory states that the occasion is a recognized legal Muslim holiday in the Philippines, pursuant to Article 169 of Presidential Decree No. 1083, otherwise known as the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines, and Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 81-1277 dated November 13, 1981.
It further cites Article 170(1) of P.D. 1083, providing for the official observance of Muslim holidays in the provinces and cities specified under the law, including North Cotabato, as well as other Muslim provinces and cities as may be created.
Furthermore, under Article 172 of P.D. 1083, Muslim government officials and employees are excused from reporting to office on August 26, 2026, to allow them to observe the Muslim holiday, without being marked absent or incurring leave deductions.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: FIRST TERM EXAMINATION
Since the holiday falls one day before the First Term Examination, all students are reminded to take advantage of the non-class day to review and prepare for the examinations scheduled on August 27โ28, 2026 (ThursdayโFriday).
Students are encouraged to:
โ๏ธ Review all lessons and topics covered during the first term.
โ๏ธ Organize and check your notes, modules, and previous activities.
โ๏ธ Prepare the necessary school and examination materials.
โ๏ธ Check your examination schedule and assigned room, if applicable.
โ๏ธ Get enough rest and avoid staying up late before the examination.
โ๏ธ Report to school on time on August 27.
โ๏ธ Bring your school ID and other required materials.
โ๏ธ Observe all examination rules and instructions.
โ๏ธ Practice honesty and academic integrity throughout the examination.
