FROM THE PENS TO THE PODIUM: ONE LAST ROUND, THEN GRADUATION BOUND
For them, the livestock area has been more than a place for practical training.
It has been a place where they learned the value of responsibility, patience, discipline, and compassion.
Day after day, they cared for the animals entrusted to them, from the poultry and piggery to the ruminant area. They fed, cleaned, monitored, and attended to the animals, often beginning their work early and ending the day with tired hands and muddy boots.
The work was not always easy.
There were hot days, demanding routines, and tasks that had to be done regardless of how tired they were. But they kept showing up because they learned an important truth about agriculture,
Living things depend on someone who cares.
Through their daily work, they learned that livestock management is not simply about feeding animals or maintaining facilities. It is about being observant, responsible, patient, and committed.
Along the way, the animals became part of their student memories, the early mornings, the laughter among classmates, the challenging days, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing that the animals were properly cared for.
Now, as graduation approaches, they are preparing to leave the farm and begin another chapter.
The pens will soon have new caretakers.
The routines will continue.
But the lessons will remain.
They may have come to the farm to learn how to care for livestock, but in the process, the farm helped shape the kind of agricultural professionals they are becoming.
They leave with more than a diploma. They carry with them the experience of long days, shared responsibilities, unexpected challenges, and countless moments that quietly shaped their character.
Perhaps years from now, they will look back and remember the poultry house, the piggery, the ruminants, the muddy boots, the early mornings, and the classmates who shared those days with them.
And they may realize that while they were caring for the animals, the experience was also caring for their growth as future agricultural professionals.
From the livestock area to the next chapter, the lessons of care, responsibility, and perseverance will remain.
