DEPED’S ARAL PROGRAM KICKS OFF: PIDIGAN CENTRAL SCHOOL COMMITS TO NO LEARNER LEFT BEHIND

Pidigan Central School officially launched the ARAL Program on September 15, 2025, under the leadership of Mrs. Honorata M. Perlas, Principal III, with the support of master teachers, volunteer teachers, and primary teachers. The activity gathered learners from Grade 1 to Grade 6 as part of the nationwide initiative of the Department of Education with the theme “Support Every Learner, Achieve Learning Goals Together.” According to a DepEd memorandum, the ARAL Program, or “National Learning Recovery Program,” is designed to help learners strengthen foundational skills and catch up with essential competencies.

The main objective of the program is to provide remedial teaching and learning support so that struggling learners can cope with lessons according to their age level, ensuring that no learner will be left behind. Through focused sessions in reading, numeracy, and other core areas, the program seeks to address learning gaps caused by various challenges in education. With the collective effort of teachers and school leaders, the ARAL Program in Pidigan Central School aims to give every child the chance to progress and succeed in their studies.

HEALTH SERVICE OUTREACH: ABRA MEDICAL AND DENTAL GROUPS AID PIDIGAN CENTRAL SCHOOL

A joint Medical and Dental Mission was successfully held on September 18, 2025, at the Gabaldon Building of Pidigan Central School. The event was spearheaded by the Philippine Pediatric Society – Abra Chapter, Abra Medical Society, and the Philippine Dental Association Inc. – Abra Chapter. Despite the signal warning on that day, the organizers continued their service, showing their commitment to the health and well-being of the community. The mission primarily catered to the kinder and Grade 1 learners of Pidigan Central School.

The young beneficiaries received free medical and dental check-ups, medicines, and treatment to help address their health needs. To make the day more meaningful, the children were also given snacks and tokens from the organizers. Teachers and parents expressed their gratitude for the effort, noting that such outreach programs not only promote good health but also bring joy and care to the learners, proving that service to the community can overcome challenges, even in difficult weather conditions.

SCHOOL INTRAMS 2025: BLUE JAGUARS CLAIM CHAMPIONSHIP IN GAMES OF UNITY AND FUN

The School Intramurals 2025 ended with cheers and excitement last September 15, carrying the theme “Play, Unite and Shine: Building Friendship and Sportsmanship Through Games and Fun.” Learners, teachers, and parents gathered to witness the awarding ceremony after a day of thrilling games and friendly competition. The event highlighted not only the skills of the players but also the strong bond and unity built among the different teams.

During the awarding of the overall winners, the Red Lions claimed 3rd place, followed by the White Panthers in 2nd place. The Yellow Tigers showed great strength and earned 1st place, but it was the Blue Jaguars who roared the loudest as they were hailed as the overall champion. The event closed with applause and celebration, proving that sports truly bring the school community together in friendship and fun.

PLAY, UNITE, AND SHINE: PIDIGAN CENTRAL INTRAMS 2025 KICKS OFF WITH FUN

Pidigan Central School officially opened its much-awaited School Intramurals 2025 on September 13 with the theme “Play, Unite, and Shine: Building Friendship and Sportsmanship Through Games and Fun.” The event started with a parade around town, followed by a lively drum and lyre ground demonstration. Mrs. Honorata M. Perlas, Principal III, gave the welcome remarks before the traditional torch lighting and banner hoisting led by team advisers. This year’s competing teams are the Blue Jaguars, Yellow Tigers, Red Lions, and White Panthers.

The opening program was formally declared by Mr. Querubin Bringas, PESS Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. After the ceremonies, primary pupils from Kinder to Grade 3 enjoyed parlor games, while intermediate learners joined simultaneous ball games. The event not only brought joy and camaraderie among learners but also served as a way to select athletes who will represent the school in the upcoming District Meet 2025.

MR. AND MS. INTRAMS 2025: CROWNED AFTER THRILLING COMPETITION

The search for Mr. and Ms. Intrams 2025, with the theme “Play, Unite, and Shine: Building Friendship and Sportsmanship Through Games and Fun,” lit up the campus last September 12, 2025. Candidates wowed the crowd in their Production Number, Sports Attire, Talent, and Question and Answer portion. Each contestant showed not only charm and talent but also the spirit of sportsmanship. The highlights included exciting performances and the announcement of minor awardees:

Best in Production Number – Mr. White Panthers & Ms. Blue Jaguars
Best in Talent – Mr. & Ms. Blue Jaguars
Best in Sports Attire – Mr. & Ms. Blue Jaguars
Mr. Eloquence – White Panthers
Ms. Eloquence – Red Lions

After a night of cheers and tough competition, the much-awaited titles were finally awarded. Mr. Intrams 2025 was crowned to Alester Jed Espejo (White Panthers), while Klea Mische Bringas (Blue Jaguars) took home the Ms. Intrams crown. The runners-up were:

1st Runners-up – Jerald Pilarta (Blue Jaguars) & Melissa Viernes (White Panthers)
2nd Runners-up – Brook Bringas & Kimberly Baraoil (Red Lions)
3rd Runners-up – Prince Aldritz Tuazon & Prinxeza Danela Bringas (Yellow Tigers)

The success of the event was made possible through the support of generous sponsors and the cooperation of the whole school community. Truly, it was a day that celebrated talent, friendship, and unity.
