AFTERMATH OF TROPICAL STORM MAYMAY | Lusuac Elementary School

Education Never Stops at Lusuac Elementary School

Amid the suspension of classes due to the effects of Tropical Storm Maymay, with the province placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2, the dedicated teachers of Lusuac Elementary School, together with the School Head, remained steadfast in ensuring that every learner continues to learn safely at home.

Teachers diligently printed and distributed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) and Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) to parents and guardians who were able to visit the school. For learners who could not come to school, the teachers and the School Head personally delivered the learning materials to their homes to ensure that no child would be left behind.

In addition to delivering the modules, the teachers also monitored the learners' progress, checked the completion of their assigned tasks, and provided guidance and encouragement to help them stay on track with their learning despite the challenges brought about by the weather.

Through teamwork, dedication, and a shared commitment to quality education, Lusuac Elementary School continues to uphold learning continuity while prioritizing the safety and well-being of every learner.

School-Based Deworming Activity

In support of promoting the health and well-being of every learner, Lusuac Elementary School, in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Peñarrubia, successfully conducted a School-Based Deworming Activity for our learners.

This initiative aims to protect children from intestinal parasitic infections, improve their overall health, enhance nutritional status, and help them stay active and focused in their learning.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated healthcare personnel of RHU Peñarrubia for their invaluable service, commitment, and continued partnership in ensuring the health and safety of our learners. We also thank our supportive parents, teachers, and school personnel for their cooperation in making this activity a success.

Together, we continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more productive learning community.
