UPDATES|| Quibal Integrated School proudly celebrated another milestone as its young science achievers secured 3rd Place at the District STEMAZING 2026 held at Callao Elementary School. The event showcased the learners’ skill, creativity, and scientific ingenuity alongside the district’s finest young innovators.

Bringing honor to the school were:

Their outstanding performance was made possible through the expert guidance and mentorship of their coach, Sir Fermil Mataro.

UPDATES|| QIS Notches Seven First-Place Finishes in District Journalympics 2026

Quibal Integrated School (QIS) secured seven first-place finishes and three other awards during the District Journalympics 2026 held at Nannarian Elementary School .

Guided by this year’s theme, “Mapanuri, Mapanindigan, at Mapanagutang Pamamahayag,” the competition brought together student journalists from schools across the district to compete in different journalistic disciplines.

The 10 awardees from Quibal Integrated School are:

- SciTech Writing – Filipino: 1st Place — Rajveer Kumare Sanjivan

- Editorial Cartooning – English: 1st Place — Erich Loize Danao

- Editorial Cartooning – Filipino: 1st Place — Princess Tricia Callueng

- News Writing – English: 1st Place — Szigmund Franc Dumallag

-Sports Writing- English: 1st Place - Jasmine Marco

- Sports Writing – Filipino: 1st Place — Charity Jasmine Arao

- Feature Writing – Filipino: 1st Place — Ma. Alexis Danao

- Photojournalism – English: 3rd Place — Stacey Cassidy De Leon

- SciTech Writing – English: 5th Place — Nathaniel Castaneda

- Copyreading and Headline Writing – Filipino: 5th Place — Aleyah Feliz Alfonso

The school also acknowledged Public Schools District Supervisor Sir Cesario D. Tuliao Jr., for his continued leadership and support of the district’s journalism program, and Principal Ma’am Daisy L. Talattad for her unwavering trust and support of the school’s student journalists.

The District Journalympics aims to develop students’ skills in responsible, critical, and ethical journalism — in line with this year’s theme.

UPDATES | QIS Learners Bag Honors at District Sci-Tech Fair 2026

Young science achievers from Quibal Integrated School brought home awards from the 2026 District Science and Technology Fair, showcasing their aptitude, creativity, teamwork, and competitive spirit in various science-related events.

Leading the school’s haul was the team of Christine Castro, Ma. Alexis B. Danao, and Rick C. Castañeda, who captured 3rd Place in the Science Skills Olympics, demonstrating strong collaboration and practical knowledge in scientific applications.

In the Poster Making Competition, Erich Francine Loize S. Danao placed 5th, impressing the judges with a science-themed artwork that blended artistic talent with scientific understanding.

Meanwhile, Rajveer Kumare B. Sanjivan secured 4th Place in the Science Quiz Bee, proving mastery of scientific facts, concepts, and principles during the fast-paced contest.

The learners were trained and guided by their dedicated coaches, Ma'am Corazon Cauilan and Sir Eric L. Danao, whose commitment and guidance helped prepare the students for the district-level competition.

This year’s fair carried the theme: “Science, Technology and Innovation: Bridging Knowledge to Real-World Solutions for Sustainable Communities.” The event highlighted the importance of nurturing scientific literacy and innovation among learners to help address community and environmental challenges.

School Principal Daisy L. Talattad commended the students and coaches for their achievements, emphasizing that the awards reflect not only talent but also commitment, perseverance, and hard work.

UPDATES| QIS Caps Municipal Athletic Meet 2026

Quibal Integrated School (QIS) concluded its campaign in the Municipal Athletic Meet 2026 with an impressive collection of medals across various sporting events, showcasing the school's athletic excellence and determination throughout the competition.

Hosted at Peñablanca National High School (PNHS), with badminton events held at the Quibal Gymnasium, the tournament saw QIS athletes deliver outstanding performances in athletics, badminton, basketball, and other events.

In field athletics, Angel Guzman captured the gold medal in the javelin throw. Christine Irish Delos Santos delivered a remarkable performance by winning gold in the discus throw, silver in the 100-meter dash, and bronze in the javelin throw. Jerico Turingan also secured gold in the discus throw and silver in the javelin throw, while Jodi Bariuan claimed gold in the discus throw. Rheana Queen Peronce added to the school's medal tally with silver in the shot put and bronze in the discus throw.

The badminton team also made a strong statement, with Prince Yuri, Zephania Francisco, and Fatima Taguinod earning gold medals. Silver medals were won by Zavier Malanos and Kurt Paragua, while Frank Dumallag, Keziah, and Ayesha finished with bronze medals in their respective categories.

Meanwhile, the QIS Girls' 3×3 Basketball Team, composed of Faye Sibal, Aira Soriano, Jovie Mae Bunagan, and Irish Soriano, secured a silver medal after an impressive tournament run.

In billiards, QIS was ably represented by Ejhay Ferrer and Kiel Hernandez, who displayed skill and composure at the table under the guidance of Coach Ma'am Princess Joi Coronacion.

The school's successful campaign was made possible through the dedication of its coaching staff, led by athletics coaches Sir Ferdinand Daquioag and Sir Marlon Maribbay, badminton coach Janet Daquioag, basketball coach Sir Gerry Daquioag, and billiard coach Ma'am Princess Coronacion.

Under the supervision of Principal Daisy L. Talattad and led by the Officer-in-Charge Designate Eric L. Danao, MT II, Quibal Integrated School once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in sports.

With the Municipal Athletic Meet now concluded, the school's medal-winning athletes and qualified representatives are set to carry the QIS banner proudly in the next level of competition.
