Grade 6 Pupils and Busdak ES Teachers Join PNP in Bomb Threat Drill in Patnanungan
PATNANUNGAN - Grade 6 students of Busdak Elementary School together with their teachers conducted a bomb threat simulation drill on Wednesday, in partnership with the Patnanungan Municipal Police Station.
The activity aimed to train pupils and school personnel on proper response and evacuation procedures in case of a bomb threat, and to strengthen coordination between the school and local authorities.
Leading the drill were police officers from Patnanungan PNP:
PSSG Mark Lester A. Cabailo, PSSG Jejomar C. Astrera, PSSG Alvin S. Arienda, PCPL John Aldrin Bernaje, and Pat Darryl A. Demin.
During the simulation, students practiced the "Duck, Cover, and Evacuate" protocol. Teachers facilitated orderly evacuation to the designated assembly area while PNP personnel demonstrated proper area security, communication, and documentation procedures.
PSSG Mark Lester A. Cabailo, who served as Incident Commander, reminded the students to stay calm and follow instructions from teachers and authorities during emergencies.
"Ang layunin ng drill na ito ay para maging handa ang mga bata at g**o. Ang kaalaman at disiplina ang susi para maiwasan ang gulo at mapanatiling ligtas ang lahat," he said.
Busdak ES teachers expressed gratitude to the PNP for their support.
"Malaking tulong ito para sa aming mga g**o at mag-aaral. Mas kampante na kami na alam na ng mga bata ang gagawin sakaling may banta," one teacher stated.
The activity ended with a debriefing led by the PNP team to discuss lessons learned and safety reminders.
School officials said similar drills will continue to ensure that Busdak Elementary School remains a safe learning environment for all pupils.
