Parents and teachers alike shared the excitement as the schoolchildren of Sahaya SIILC entertained them with fantastic performances during the celebration of the school’s 15th Founding Anniversary yesterday. The event was graced by the Honorable Barangay Captain of Latih, Patikul, Sulu, Ryan Hayudini, who expressed his sincere intention to support the school in all its endeavours aligning to this year’s theme of “Embracing the Challenges of the New World with Steadfast Islamic Faith”. It was indeed a festive and joyous event, Alhamdulillah! We thank all the parents and guests for their unwavering support and commitment that fuels the school towards a more progressive learning institute. Congratulations to one and all for a successful celebration 🎉

Following MBHTE BARMM learning continuity plan and learning modalities in the new normal, our school is now transitioning to the regular class schedule and adapting to changes.

We thank everyone who helped and supported us especially during the pandemic as we also honor our teachers for being steadfast in ensuring no pupil is left behind in their studies.

Earlier today, a group of educators from Isabel Schools Division Region IX visited our school to benchmark best practices that they can adapt in Basilan. Our Assistant Managing Director Maam Van together with our Principal Maam Mhurhanny Alamia and our staff received our guest with a welcome feast while sharing our school’s pandemic story- particularly on our unconventional teaching and learning strategy amidst the challenges and restrictions of movement in the past two years. They were impressed to know about the home visits and tutoring that our teachers did just to ensure our schoolchildren accomplish their modules.

Our guest appreciated the learning exchange and the fruitful visit to our school. Alhamdilillah!

Yesterday, our school held its 12th Moving Up and Graduation Ceremonies at the Jolo Municipal Gymnasium. The significant occasion was graced by Dr. Kerwin C Asid, Education Program Supervisor, who also did the honor of the Proclamation of Graduates. ALHAMDULILLAH!

A very memorable event, indeed, as this is the first time in two years that the school held its in-person graduation rites, MashaAllah!

To all the graduates, our warmest CONGRATULATIONS! You made it despite the difficulties of home-schooling. To the teachers, under the helm of our hardworking principal, Ma’am Murhanny Alamia, kudos to all your hard work, you dedication help us get through the adversities. To the proud parents, you are instrumental in the success of your children, for being steadfast in letting them continue on with their schooling despite the pandemic and the restrictions, in helping them get through this school year.
