The training provided an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, strengthen their leadership skills, and gain valuable experiences in guiding and supporting Scouts. Through continuous learning, dedication, and service, our new adult leaders continue to uphold the values of Scouting and contribute to the development of young people into responsible and capable individuals.

Another year of life means another chapter filled with new experiences, meaningful memories, and opportunities to make a difference. Today, we celebrate not only your birthday but also the person you are and the dedication you continue to show as a Scout and a leader.

You are not only a dedicated Scout but also a skilled and talented Scout, especially in Semaphore Signaling. Your knowledge, precision, and confidence in demonstrating this skill are truly admirable. Your ability to communicate through Semaphore Signaling reflects the discipline, patience, and preparedness that every Scout should strive to develop.

⚜️ 𝐏𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐋𝐓𝐂: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 ⚜️

The third day of the PLTC and CLTC commenced with a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Juan Villablanca Memorial High School Quadrangle, spearheaded by selected Scout participants.

After the ceremony, the participants proceeded to Pastrana Central School for the awarding ceremony. As each award was presented, the delegates proudly performed their respective yells, filling the program with energy, enthusiasm, and Scout spirit. This was followed by another session focusing on their advancement and continued growth in Scouting.

The program then continued with the presentation of certificates to the members of the training staff and Scout Training Masters, recognizing their dedication and valuable contributions throughout the training.

As the third day came to a close, the PLTC and CLTC participants carried with them the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained throughout the training, strengthening their commitment to become responsible and capable leaders in Scouting

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄🔥⛺

The first flame flickered against the darkness.

Then came three more.

Four Eagle Scouts stood with torches in hand as their light trembled across the faces gathered around them. Scouts from across the Leyte Council sat in a circle at the Juan Villablanca Memorial High School quadrangle, their day of training for the 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴’ 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 (𝘗𝘓𝘛𝘊) 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴’ 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 (𝘊𝘓𝘛𝘊) giving way to an evening around the fire.

The torches were more than sources of light. The first represented the Spirit of Scouting; the other three embodied the Scout Oath—duty to God and country, service to others, and the commitment to remain physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

When the four flames met the prepared fire lay, the wood caught.

Heat slowly spread through the circle. The scent of burning wood lingered in the cool night air as sparks rose briefly before vanishing overhead. Firelight danced across Scout uniforms, turning familiar faces gold and shadow.

For a while, the flames held everyone’s attention.

Then the circle came alive.

Outfit presentations brought bursts of creativity, while icebreakers filled the quadrangle with movement and laughter. The Scouts had spent the day learning the responsibilities of leadership; around the fire, they experienced another side of it—camaraderie, participation, and belonging.

But beneath the laughter was a quieter lesson.

Leadership is not simply being the one who stands in front. It is knowing when to guide, when to listen, and when to help carry the weight of others.

That lesson surfaced again during the Scoutmasters’ minute and campfire chat. As the night grew deeper, the voices softened. The flames lowered. The warmth became gentler against the skin.

The Scouts listened.

Beyond the circle, the darkness stretched beneath the stars. Inside it, the fire continued to glow.

Eventually, the closing ceremony arrived. The Campfire Chief spoke of the fire sinking into the ashes and the day becoming yesterday. Soon, the bright flames would be gone, leaving only embers, smoke, and the faint smell of charred wood.

Yet the evening had left something behind.

For the young leaders of the Leyte Council, the campfire was more than an activity within PLTC and CLTC. It became a small reflection of leadership itself: individual flames can become one light, and a fire matters not only because it burns, but because it gives warmth to others.

The night would eventually swallow the last ember. But the Scouts would carry the lesson beyond the circle. The fire may fade. But the light they carry does not have to.

⚜️ 𝐏𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐋𝐓𝐂: 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 ⚜️

The event commenced with a Flag Raising Ceremony, spearheaded by the Scouts from Outfit 233, setting a meaningful and disciplined tone for the day.

After the ceremony, the participants proceeded to Pastrana Central School, where the program officially commenced. The event was supported by Sir Dennis P. Dagami, School Principal II of Juan Villablanca Memorial High School, and Ma’am Ma. Rosario C. Avestruz, Council Scout Executive, whose presence and support contributed to the success of the training.

A member of the training team, Sir Edgardo E. Alizar, LT, delivered his words of welcome and recognized the PLTC and CLTC delegates.

Afterward, the participants began the plenary session, where Sir Bonifacio V. Velarde, LT, tackled the history of Scouting, focusing on the life and legacy of Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, the founder of the World Scout Movement.

Following the opening program and plenary session, the participants continued with the different training activities prepared at the Juan Villablanca Memorial High School Quadrangle, designed to further develop their leadership skills, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and prepare them for the challenges ahead.

Through these activities, the PLTC and CLTC delegates continue to grow as responsible, capable, and committed leaders, ready to serve their fellow Scouts and communities.

𝗥𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗥𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. ⚜️

The senior scouts of Juan Villablanca Memorial High School, together with the esteemed pioneer scouts, gathered for a meaningful evening of fellowship, leadership, and renewed commitment to the ideals of Scouting. More than a reunion, the activity became an opportunity to reconnect with fellow Scouts, strengthen camaraderie, and rekindle the spirit of service that continues to unite generations of Scouts.

The program began with the assembly of participants, followed by the Opening Ceremony, which included the prayer, entrance of colors, rededication of the Scout Oath and Law, and welcome remarks. These opening activities served as a reminder of the principles and traditions that have long guided every Scout in living a life of honor, discipline, and service.

The evening continued with the Institutional Scouts Meeting, where important matters concerning membership, training, advancement, finance, logistics, progress review, organizational concerns, and upcoming activities were discussed. The meeting provided an avenue for senior scouts, scout leaders, and the pioneer scouts to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and reaffirm their shared commitment to the continued growth of the Scouting movement within the institution.

Following dinner, participants enjoyed a time of fellowship, sharing stories, experiences, and meaningful conversations that reflected the enduring bond of scout brotherhood. Afterwards, everyone gathered for the campfire program, where the different crews showcased their teamwork, creativity, and scout spirit through songs, cheers, presentations, and performances. The warmth of the campfire symbolized not only a cherished scouting tradition but also the rekindling of friendships, unity, and a renewed sense of purpose among all participants.

The evening concluded with a solemn Scout Reflection and the observance of Taps, providing every Scout with a moment to reflect on the lessons learned, the memories created, and the commitment to faithfully uphold the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

The presence of the pioneer scouts made the occasion even more meaningful, bridging generations of senior scouts and inspiring today's members through their continued dedication and unwavering support. Their participation served as a powerful reminder that while time may pass, the values of scouting remain steadfast, continuing to shape individuals into responsible citizens and serving leaders.

As the campfire's glow slowly faded into the night, the flame of Scouting burned even brighter in every heart—a reminder that while gatherings may come to an end, the spirit of service, leadership, and brotherhood will continue to guide every Scout on the path ahead.
