A significant milestone in the continuing development of education and agricultural learning was marked as Ramon Adriano R. Orozco Farm School (RAROFS) formally held the Blessing and Turnover Ceremony of its newly completed Multipurpose Building (Post-Harvest Laboratory) and Two-Storey Six-Classroom Building on September 16, 2026.
The celebration commenced with a Holy Mass officiated by Rev.Fr. Moises Tacardon, bringing together teachers, students, local officials, and community stakeholders in thanksgiving for the realization of the much-needed facilities. Following the Mass was the blessing ceremony, highlighting the community's shared hopes that these buildings would serve as avenues for learning, innovation, and growth for generations of learners.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting was led by City Mayor Atty. Stephen A. Palmares, CPA; City Vice Mayor Elyzer C. Chavez; Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nicasio S. Frio, CESO V; Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lea C. Belleza, CESE; together with Sangguniang Panlungsod Members Hon. Bonifacio Barbero and Hon. Jovi Palmares.
In his message, Mayor Palmares underscored the spirit of unity that drives progress in Passi City, emphasizing that local leaders and the community continue to work hand in hand in pursuing growth and development. He also expressed his gratitude to Cong. Ferjenel G. Biron, MD for his invaluable support and assistance in ensuring the completion of the two buildings, which will further strengthen the delivery of quality education and agricultural instruction at RAROFS.
Representing Cong. Biron was Deputy Chief of Staff Atty. Florene Pearl Arnaez, who conveyed the congressman's unwavering commitment to education. She noted that education remains among Cong. Biron's foremost priorities, alongside legislative measures that promote infrastructure development across the Fourth District of Iloilo.
Meanwhile, School Principal I Mr. John Mark Q. Apellado extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Passi City led by Mayor Palmares and to Cong. Biron for making the construction of the two facilities possible. He emphasized that these new structures will provide learners and teachers with improved spaces conducive to learning, skills development, and agricultural excellence.
The successful turnover of these facilities stands as a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration among government leaders, education stakeholders, and the community. More than physical structures, the new buildings symbolize a shared investment in the future of RAROFS learners and in the continued advancement of education in Passi City. β¨π«
